I was lucky in that the mouth for my skull doesn't make an annoying chatter sound when he speaks. If yours is doing that, I find a quick solution to be placing some soft material, perhaps a thin layer of foam, concealed inside the mouth. Also, I didn't comment on the quality of his mouth movement lining up with the phrases-which definitely should have been a bit better.
