No matter how many times I watch this, one thing remains the same: seeing the kingpin get knocked down a peg is cathartic. Beating galactus is one thing, but he’s something of a necessary evil. Kingpin is just an arrogant bully with way too much weight to throw around, pun intended. I simply love these dubs, and the spider man serial is easily the best thing to come out of the ultimate run.

These motion comics are AMAZING (no joke intended)!!! The voice cast is so good.... why couldn’t the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon actually be like this (Disney... the answer is Disney)? Keep it up!

God, reading these; while now hearing them be dubbed, just brings so many fun memories. To this day, this is still a helluva lotta fun to read and is still my personal all time favorite MARVEL; let alone Spider-Man, universe. As for the voice acting, highest praise goes to Philly as Spider-Man/Peter Parker & JoeyKat as Mary Jane Watson. I like how Peter originally gets his ass kicked by Fisk because he jumps in without a plan, but then figures out Kingpin's weakness (arrogance) and wins round two. The volume was aptly titled.
The most likely reason for electro having superpowers is that he was a simple cable guy but then got electrocuted by a bunch of bioelectric eels. Or maybe he got struck by lightning and fell into water
Spiderman powers are so weird in this iteration one minute he lifts whole cars the next he hurts his hand punching normal dudes and getting choked out by rope.
