In my opinion (And A LOT of people will hate me for this one) I think Wandersong has the best video game soundtrack of all time. I never felt so much emotion while listening to something like it before. I love it so much.
Hey, that’s fine. I thought Message from Mom was pretty emotional. My only problem is that it didn’t hit me as hard while playing the game, but did after listening to it on its own. Though just about every other song I think is pretty average, I can see why someone would enjoy it. :) I appreciate a conflicting opinion.
Personally it's very mixed. SOME of the songs were 100% like that for me, but most of them were, as he said in the video, "sufficient". Some of the ones I did feel lots of emotion from were the ending song and a lot of the songs with Audrey's or Miriam's leitmotifs
i only played the game this week and have never spoken with the discord or anything but i actually noticed: in the game ash, as far as i can tell, is never referred to by "she" or "he", only ever "they"! even their own mother calls them "my kid" (rather than "son" or "daughter") or "they" or just "ash"! and with the gender-neutral name and the fact that the game has stuff like inclusion of gay characters (eg: both the cave troll and his boyfriend are male iirc) i think this was fully intentional and that ash is supposed to be a more sorta nonbinary, androgynous character! i think thats really cool!!
Cheren I do think that clearly was the intention, and I’m totally down for that, but when I originally played the game, in the end credits: Viola used the term “her”. I just checked, and it has been fixed to “their” so that’s kind of a problem with the video, but when I had made this video I wanted to make sure that I got my facts straight and I know that that was there. Hopefully that’s not a big issue with anyone who watches this, because again: I think that’s great and I’d rather not offend anyone; I just wanted to get my facts straight.

I like the fact that its implied that most characters are going on adventure like you when you meet them again after leaving because time moves on and nothing stays the same except the bards kewl dance moves
Going to disagree with your perception of Miriam. [SPOILERS FOR COMMENT READERS THAT HAVEN'T PLAYED THE GAME] She sticks around because finding the Overseers is their best chance of saving the world. That obligation takes priority to her personal feelings on the matter until she gets worried for her Gran's safety. She's vocally against needing to go with the Bard early on but recognises the necessity of it. Only later does she come to understand their way of thinking, with her discovering more about herself as a side effect of the journey. Saphy even admits in the epilogue that sending Miriam out with you was also an attempt to make her more sociable.

At one point there was a line near the end credits that had someone (Manny I think) refer to Ash as a “she” and so I thought Greg didn’t say what gender they were because it was meant to be ambiguous as a weird joke or something. Again: super sorry because I know that stuff can be annoying. Hopefully you enjoyed the rest of the video tho!
