This record is not sexist, it's reality of life. There have been deceiving, conniving, two timing both men & women since time began & continues today & until the end of time. Its life. Also this song shows u how good Elvis was, this is a hard song to sing also New Orleans from the same movie. He had a diversity for music like no one else.

Well it leaves out the man’s disobedience as with Samson going where he shouldn’t with women of the world, and Ahab’s indifference letting Jezebel rule in his place. The original sin with Eve is never clear concerning Adam. But it says the women was easily deceived. - but the man was the head. ??? Yes Eve fell first and Adam follows. Elvis last verse kinda clears the problem up, that he has a women head like a rock, but if she ever leaves he’ll cry around the clock. The man is easily messed up by following the women instead of resisting and the serpent knows it.

You're about to discover how all those home recordings you just suffered through led to Elvis fine-tuning his already amazing voice. He made 27 movies in the '60s and mostly recorded soundtracks during that decade. There are a few stray songs here and there that weren't in the movies. @@SephPlays Fair warning: some of the movies and movie songs are pretty corny. While Elvis wanted to become a serious actor, his manager and the studio execs were more interested in $$$ and kept him in the teen idol box. Besides his 1960 gospel album, His Hand in Mine, he also released one album that's not a soundtrack in 1960 called ELVIS IS BACK. This was the first of his albums that was in stereo. Lots of variety on this album. And I'm really looking forward to your reactions to his tons of music movie "G.I. Blues" and his nonmusical film "Flaming Star".

@@SephPlays The remains of the "giants", especially whenever they become newsworthy, are confiscated and not publicized. Generally the media is more entertained by "breaking news" of strange lights in the sky, or some such ilk. The Smithsonian is known to be in possession of the types of ancient remains. I can't remember the name of the guy it's Lou something I think. The song is literally about a guy telling a woman look I love you and one day I'm going to marry you. But for now you're going to have to be my girlfriend and deal with the fact that I'm going to be hooking up with a bunch of other random chicks. If another woman gives me even the slightest hint that she wants me, I'm going to have to give her some lol. Those aren't the exact words but it's the gist of the song.

Believe it or not this single shot to number one in the charts immediately after the movie. Either everyone bought it because it was catchy, or to listen and be able to catch the lyrics of it. I’m sure a bit of both.
But yes both are the fault. The women as with the first sin with Eve, was easily deceived by the serpent. But in the word it says the man as the spiritual authority has the right and duty to call off the curses, if he hears what she says and lets it stand it will stand. If he hears it and rebukes it, it will not stand. The father of a daughter and a husband of the women. Of coarse Adam and Eve were b4 the law was given but you get the point once the law is given. And the law is given because of the original sin and fall from the garden of Eden. The entire album sound track reached number 2 on the charts where the single reach #1. So you can figure people were buying the single and the radio stations playing it,
    1) because it was catchy and/or
    2) to finally catch the words.

It is a bit sexist. Strictly from a man’s perspective. And not completely biblically sound. Totally focusing on the Jezebel spirit. But the women can sing it too turned around, that the soft headed man has been the problem too! Called the Ahab spirit.
And it was in the movie but in the background, not fully recognized. Elvis is singing it in The King Creole while the focus is on the outside and crowds he’s drawing. You have to focus on it to hear it, and it’s not the full length or at least not by the time you can start catching the words.
