Mingle is likely an older person from Venezuela just farming gold for a living, I've spoke with gold farmers from Latin America before, most of them are not computer smart at all, which explains a lot about Mingle if you watched the whole stream :)

I think Mingle is from Venezuela, during the video I use the word "Sisa". typical word commonly used in Venezuela to make a statement. I know because I'm from Venezuela.

I told you in the previous video that a farmer can make $2000 per day or even more, they move in all divisions like DF to get free tokens then he will create a new account on CATA>ERA>SOD, to move your character on a low pop server it's free, for the gear it's an account from the first release era and blizzard doesn't ban it

You lot are delusional lmao. By saying making a "living" they actually mean barely surviving. In Brazil for instance, the minimum wage is around 250 dollars. A lot of less fortunate people work for that and survive with that money, maybe doing extra hours or doing some other thing to complement their revenue, doing some kind of home craftsman products or selling homemade candy/food, etc at the streets. On top of that we are a third world country that pays first world country taxes and have a lot of absurd and excessive taxation on any kind of industrial products too. PC hardware and video game software for example are very expensive things around here that even the middle class barely can afford to own. Yet, even with all of these problems Brazil is the largest economy of South America, which means there are lot of opportunities to be found and we are far from being like the more poor countries around like Venezuela or Colombia, where a huge amount of the population lives in misery. Well, at least for now when we are still not being ruled by some dictator ruffian.
So people manages to get by, but they live far from the level of confort that people with a basic job like fastfood attendants in countries like USA or Canada can make a living of. It certainly not like they are making a good living out of playing video game and being rich doing so. It because their currency is worth so low and their wage is so bad that they actually can earn more by selling video game itens for dollars and then live a little better.

That's the point, you think this is enough to make a decent living? You statement of considering go live in those countries just because you consider the ideia of "working" by just farming gold in a game and selling it for IRL currency appealing is hilarious. If they were happy and earning enough in their country we wouldn't often heard cases about of people fleeing Venezuela through Amazon Forest to get to Argentina, Brazil or some other country down here with better economy.

There are people not botting but they are gold sellers. In Venezuela for example few dollars are big deal. Personally I have nothing against those players if there were only them and no bots economy wouldnt be so affected

What I think is happening:
Mingle is farming herbs.
He sells the herbs for gold to a lvl 1 Character on the server. The lvl 1 character transfers all the herbs to a populated realm, and sells it.
(transfers FROM a dead server to populated one are often free)
He sells the Gold for IRL Currency to someone else, or maybe the same person who also transfers the gold to a populated realm.
Mingle probably lives in South America where this earns him a month salary.
@@MrXennon1gives all the herbs to a lvl 1 on dead server transfers the 1 to high pop serv and he sells it on ah there this seems pre common its basically these dudes and bots on these dead servers thats why you dont see them much anymore
@@MrXennon1 I think what he meant by that Mingle makes level 1 character trade all the herbs etc. and then he transfers the level 1 to a populated realm where he can sell it.
Thats it, some countries here in latam are very poor and sellin gold is more profitable than workin in your standard job

I bought a couple profession kits from a guy in classic wrath. Ended up getting in disc with him for a bit. He was a cool guy. Has very broken English and it was difficult for us to communicate but started using google translate and he was exactly like this person. He just spends all day every day farming gold to sell. He isn’t selling it directly to the buyer, only does that with the prof kits. Since they live in countries with an inferior currency the exchange rate is worth it even for a small cut of the actually sell. We think of it as only $20 but it is far more for them.
His dream was to save up money and move to America. This has always intrigued me because I have lived in the US my whole life. I asked him what he thinks he will get in the US that he doesn’t have already and what he thinks he can do here that he can’t where he is. There was never anything he could come up with. He kinda just thought ‘well it’s America so nobody works and everyone is rich and famous.’ Turns out I work longer hours than him and everything he thought was here he already had more of there. Just sits around playing video games for a living, literally. Lol
Honestly, probably, the quality of his life sucks ass in whatever third world backwater he's from, despite the gaming, and even relative poverty in the USA is still better off than being part of the 99% in like, Venezuela, or Honduras, or something. Have you seen those places? Christ, every day I thank god I was born in the USA instead of someplace like that.
i see your point but at least the man has a goal, half my family lives in a 3rd world country and they're happy as hell but if youre someone like my mom she got sick of living in a shack. doesn't matter if they sit and play video games "for a living" if you want an opportunity to better your life and future generations.

If you don't know where the monastery is, I don't expect you to know where a character is transferred.
From the way he types and communicates and all the slang, I can tell he's from Venezuela. Venezuela is very known for people to farm gold in different games due to it having more value over the venezuelan Bolivar, so what he probably does is farm herbs, sells them to a gold seller and then gets paid IRL to sustain his family/himself. This is also a trend in a very old game called Tibia, where the currency in there has more value over the Bolivar. I know all this because I have some friends from Venezuela that do this kind of stuff for a living, most of them get banned and caught though so they have to find clever ways to sell the gold without being caught. :)

I unfortunately had to kick someone from my guild for being a gold seller. 100% wasn't botting either. Was just a cool guy, and his local economy was in shambles from inflation, so selling WoW gold was more profitable than running a restaurant or store in his country.. Really wish he didn't say anything, because i commend a man for doing what he needs to support his family. After that, we made a "Dont ask, dont tell" policy.
