- The Grandmaster gives you challenges throughout the fight. Complete them to gain bonus damage. Fail too many times and he'll knock you out with a special 3! Here's a guide to all 4 phases of the Grandmaster fight.

Honestly, The Grandmaster boss fight is such a well made boss battle. The way he works is very creative, and overall seems like a very fun boss to fight against.... unlike someone, *cough cough* Collector *cough cough*.
Could you imagine watching this video in 2015-16? Not only the craziness of the Grandmaster boss, but seeing Colossus of all characters taking him down with relative ease
We hated it when we got Colossus or luke cage or she hulk at that time. Now, those of us who played these characters before reworks know how much they have improved.

Damn, great solo! This makes me feel so much better about doing this fight. Seeing all that text, as much as I understand it, it still confuses the shit out of me lol. So I’m glad I watched this video, your breakdown made it make so much sense. Good news is, Colossus is my go too & is already on my team ( I’m currently at the GrandMaster now )
Edit: I’m on Phase3 & man your guide has helped major! I still needed to use a good amount of units considering it’s my first time fighting him, but hoping to come back any time now to say I took him down!
2 hours later & I took him down 🥳🥳🥳. Your video helped Major & I got to finish him off with Colossus as well!

Tried for several hours. The thing I hate about this fight is It’s a fight you can’t practice. Spent about 20 deaths trying to bait his SP1.
None of this fight just happens naturally. During first phase, if youre dexing to get dex banned last his SP1 will fire before youve realized dex is banned, but if you get parry banned last to get some distance, good luck baiting his SP1. Used unit man to get to 80% but his challenges don’t come up soon enough during second phase so you end up taking block damage or get hit trying to dance around waiting for them. This is not a fun fight - after doing 6.4.1,2,3,4,5 this week I don’t think I’ll try this again for a year. Glad I won’t be tempted to buy any cyber weekend or Christmas deals for that Thronebreaker title.
I have the same problem. You need to spend a full energy refill and a lot of time to get to him in the first place (some champions might even die on the path itself) and after that you can practice once with the champions that are alive unless you want to spend a ton of units ofc. When I finally got the chance to play against him, all my champions either died from block/degen damage in the first case because they lost a lot of health on the path itself or from being unable to bait the L1 and either taking the initial beam to the face or getting cornered and taking some heavy's to the face. I also tried to do the intercepts to improve the damage output but that almost never works and he kept blocking or worse, waiting for a second and then hitting me.
There is also no way to practice the other fases without spending a lot of time or units. I think they should make it exactly like the Act 4 Venom boss where you can fight him without having to take a path for the completion, thus making it easy and cheap to practice against him/have some fun

Hey so you obviously don't use a phone or pad what do you use to fight with your hands do you use the phone remote they sell or something else lmk Asap
Because this game is tough using your fingers on the screen like timing blocks and evades
@@faustoutloud it's not that hard once you get used to it. And you'll have to learn how to quick evade whihout touching your finger for even a little bit on left side cause it will first block the attack and messs you up. Practice it isn't that hard.
Okay, i’ll start grinding now for 10K units…

Anyone that calls this fight fun & challenging can go to hell with Kabam, and they are FromSoft fans. No one else enjoys so much torture.
Kabam didnt nerf this goddamn fight at all. There is NOTHING challenging about a boss fight that takes away 99% of options. Cant hurt him in any way until you get rid of those handicaps.
I will always hate Intercept, ONLY the AI can do that perfectly, and this damn game was NEVER designed around it. No Masteries or a specific buff or champ dedicated to it. Not once. Seriously, there's buffs like True Strike to ignore evades & auto block, True Damage to ignore armor, but no True Dexterity to ignore a punch when dashing, and make Intercept worth a damn.
And the Whiff An Attack "challenge", REAL FAIR TO BE VAGUE ON WHAT THE CHALLENGE EVEN IS! Especially when its something no one would EVER do in this game: Throw an attack that doesnt hit. HOW THE HELL ARE PEOPLE SUPPOSED TO FIGURE THAT ON THEIR OWN? Oh right, by unfairly dying & spending on revives.
Of course the AI is stubborn to use a lvl1 special. AND said special is unblockable. Sure, thats fair, the special being unblockable and stopping you from doing those 3 actions.
This godforsaken company & their no-life, snob elitists are absolute scum.
