Youngnort has basically The World and Bites the Dust, with that rewind of his, and I love it. Something I don't like though, is that they nerfed him. No more slowing bullets, or 5 clones spamming Raging Storm. I'm kinda dissapointed tbh
It feels like all the secret Bosses, like Xemnas in KH1 and Terra in 2 got nerfed pretty badly in the games where they became the main antagonist. I don't really miss having commands ripped out of me though...
I literally did a paper on how bad of a super boss YX was in BBS, I don't miss him being stupidly broken either. I mean, when literally the only strategy anyone can give for him is to spam attacks that abuse invincibility frames... you have a bad boss fight. Compared to Terra's fight where there's a good 15 different methods people have come up with and everyone seems to have their own favorite ways to deal with him. This is despite KH2 having a lot less options to use in general compared to BBS. On the subject of Xemnas, he pretty much fought using the exact same moves in KH2's first fight with him as he did in the super boss in the first game, so it more just feels like Sora just got THAT much stronger. Terra just had eleven years to level grind. YX? Young Xehanort has no excuse for being as stupidly powerful and obnoxious as he was in birth by sleep. None. I can grantee you that even if we had access to the balloon spells in birth by sleep, it still wouldn't matter because he could just escape stunlock whenever he feels like it and immediately punish you without having any revenge value to think about. I'm so glad they seem to have learned their lesson with the phantom aqua fights in 0.2 though. ...I'm studying game design.
To be fair, all of the commands in the game do roughly as much damage. What separates the Ballon spells is that they have fairly high stagger. Meaning you can spam them and the opponent won't be able to do much in return. You can go down to 25% HP and semi-stunlock even Julius with them. It's insane.
Balloonga tends to be better for crowds, baloonra is better for bosses, and Balloon is best used on the rare single dream eater battle. ...there's a reason the dream eater summon in 3 is a goddamn super Balloonga
Would ya' believe me if I said this was proud mode? On the flip side, I'm pretty sure I was level 99. I feel Level 1's reserved for Critical Mode. Plus it was easier to farm mats for all the Star Rank Dream Eaters without getting killed in two hits by every regular end game enemy. No regrets on Balloon spam though!
