Stormrunner back on the scene. Dont really care for stormworks but because its you i gave it a go. Inspiring storytelling with that great context at the start. Good on you storm. You go.
My supercharged boxer 8 seemed to get 195 no problem, but after that the wheels kept spinning to the point I slid out. Ant the engine had more to givem
long time no see, great to see you uploading again! i'm bigpingo2, or you might've known me as Tornado_Guy_123 during the scrap mechanic era if you remember
The game will treat tank treads as wheels via the # of wheels per track that are in contact with the ground. You basically can take away the entire track as a cosmetic effect and consider if a road wheel is connected to a drive wheel, it's considered "powered" like any other wheel with power going to it. So technically your "half track" setup was still a 6 wheeled version. The more "accurate" way to test if the tank tracks actually work as you're wondering is to have the drive wheel setup above the roadwheel so that a track actually is spawned in. I believe the drive wheels themselves do not provide as much traction as they could without a track spawned in so with it in the air only providing power to a road wheel, it should eliminate it being in contact with the ground with a track and only leave your test car with 4 "wheels" on the ground. But while it isn't quite as fast as 200mph, I've been able to get a 5x5 wheeled crank powered car up to around 85mph. . . .It won't carry a lot at that speed, and the acceleration is complete garbage, but it's kind of fun to go zipping around with a vehicle at 85 mph that's only powered by 2 handcranks.
damn mate thats some good stuff you got here. I wanted to ask if ya intrested in making a discord server for your yt cause that way you can get to now your audience more and you can your subs to give you ideas for future vids
A straight vector of 200mph is not, but if you get the wrong parts colliding with each other on a crash, a revolutionary velocity of 200mph is fairly easy. 😅
@@StormRunnerGaming if you build a race car, and you have some wings with control surfaces for downforce, you can make a DRS system by just saying, if above x speed neutralize the wing
i know this is an old video but i did manage to create a 4 wheel car that has an engine speed of 205 mph and will probably be faster if i add an eighth gear
Yeah, I want to know how he does it. I just made a car that breaks 200mph and the only thing I did was xml grip the tires to 5 and make some various aerodynamical improvements to my car.
I can confirm this with my own stuff. I have been working on 2 drag cars. 1 has a 4 cylinder one a 8. Both struggle once they hit 140mph
wth how

Is this a challenge?

That is basically what I ran into as well.

Have You Quit?
200 mph is not easy to reach even with aircraft in Stormworks.

I've hit 155 with a truck but wheelspin just doesn't end
It is possible. You have to add mass and reduce drag to break 200mph.
I've messed around a bit with weight on vehicles. Any tips to reduce drag that I could test out?

i managed to glitch a plane into having no wind resitance (or like 10% wind resitance) so it went mach 2 so this should be possible

I made a v8 with supercharger race car that can reach 240 mph
but carnivore

I can hit 260 mph
