First listened to this in grade 10 and broke down sobbing, I'm now in my second year of university and it's almost humourous to look back in time and count the amount of people who phased in and out of my life. Each with their own specific purpose in my life. Remember, at the end of the day you are your own best friend, and that regardless of who comes and goes you will always be there for yourself. Here's my story if someone can/wants to relate:
Im a second year med student and two years ago when i was still in school i met two poeple(a guy and a girl) we became best friends, or at least i thought we were. They were really dear to me. Still, i always felt it was a little bit one sided, because sometimes they would've just made a plan without me, and if i found out about it, they would just say "we thought you would come". We three made it to the same univ. But after we succeeded the first year we had the choice to candidate for another university who would be less costly. I succeeded the admission test, but the two of them told me they didn't so i choosed to stay in the same school with them. Little did i know that they fooled me. And now they are both in the other university, and im still in the first one who costs the most, with a deep wound in my heart.

I've lost a couple of best friends, but I had this one best friend I was really close with. We would always talk, and the worst part was that she was my childhood friend. I knew her ever since I was a baby or so. I would tell her all my secretes and everything I've been going through, I trusted her, but she would tell her mom everything I told her. It may not sound big, but it is. We PROMISED each other to not tell ANYONE, but, well, she did. Her mother told my mom and, well, that led to consequences. I would get hit and abused by my mom because I told her things I shouldn't of have. Ofc, I was younger back then so I didn't know if what I told her was right or wrong. I soon later figured out what she has been doing, so I confronted her. We promised again that she wouldn't do the same mistakes she did, but she continued to do it. Well, soon later our friendship cut off somehow. It was her parents, they didn't like me. I missed her a lot, but Im not sure if she missed me. Soon later I got over it, but it still hits me. I now have trust issues. Now I have another friend at my new school, but she reminds me just like my "used to be best friend". She tells her other friend everything I told her not to tell( her friend, which is known to be a popular girl in my class ). She remind me just like her. So now honestly, I don't even know who to trust.

I did.. I thought my best friends were my ride and die ! We even planned we would all live together.. go to the same college.. now.. this year were not friends anymore :) They used to beat me up and hurt me so.. I started cutting myself.. worst year of my life.. I have new friends their all great but we have so much in common..! Im so thankful I have friends who are there for me and support me for being who I am..

The worst thing is that if they pass away you won’t be sad to die. When your family and friends are gone there’s nothing to lose. I thought we would get married one day. Well I hoped. I cry every day to just see him. Sometimes I pray that I could have gone with him. I was just sitting in my bed when his parents called. I crashed to the floor crying in pain. I didn’t eat for 2 days. I wonder if I was with him I could have said goodbye. Sometimes just use time while you can you never know what will happen.

The first time I heard this song it made me cry. I love Tate McRae, but this one just pulls one of my strings that makes me feel that certain way I recently lost a friend due to my anger issues. She didn’t like how I would react when we got in the smallest fight this song really relates to us I wrote down most of the lyrics on a piece of paper and asked for forgiveness. Not sure if she’s gonna forgive me, but today I’m going back to school, hoping that she will forgive me.😢
I forgot to put in there that it was toxic on both ends and then I know that I’m only in fourth grade. I’m very aware of it, but she also ruined the relationship. It wasn’t only because of my anger issues she didn’t like the way I talk to her by the way I didn’t get her candy when my friend paid me money to do it so she was very she was a very greedy. She was one of those friends That just wanted attention and whatever you got for your other friends I have a other friend will call her Alana so Alana paid me to get candy one day at Circle K and this other girl that was the very toxic one. She wanted the candy all for me and her, and she kept on sticking her hand in my pocket and trying to get gummy‘s from out of my pocket. This is just a reminder not to be so selfish if someone ever Makes you feel that way don’t stay in that relationship. It will hurt you mentally and physically get a relationship that doesn’t cause you stress and that you can always rely on that friend. I know this message is long but I feel that it’s necessary to everyone who relates to this I’m so sorry that you had to go through it as well.❤
