  • Join me on a Journey into the Australian Outback, camping cooking and capturing the beauty around me in oil paint! I've designed a special painting box for the canoe that enables me to carry fresh wet oil paintings. Now I can get into to some fantastic painting locations and easily bring the wet painting safely back to camp! Spend some time with me on the river and enjoy the serenity.

    For anybody interested, a painting box for painting en plein air is called a POCHADE BOX. It typically holds an easel, paint tubes and supplies, palette and even an number of slots to store wet paintings (on canvas boards) until you return home.

    Magnificent paintings Richard ! I was completely mesmerized by the scenery and how you’ve captured the soul of the place ! I loved seeing some wildlife too today ! So nice to see something living in the wilderness so tranquil and peaceful ! You had a total workout running back and forth while painting and you really deserved that break eating your delicious bread ! Your canoe trip was great too ! All in all an exceptional video through out ! Sincere Thank you Richard ! Take care and stay safe ! Warmest regards Lorraine 👏👍😁🤗

    I think outdoor sketching is a very complicated thing. You spare no effort to do things well. For example, you always draw such large-scale paintings. Not only does it take more time to paint, it also requires more preparation. Fortunately , You are using the car as an easel. Strong and good idea.

    Fantastic...wow...did I ever enjoy this one. I can't express how much I love your videos and your whole approach to plein air painting. Are you attaching the canvases that have wood strips to the french easel with clamps? And I know I've seen you use panels before. How do you attach the wood strips to panels? Thanks. Hurray, you’re back! Missed you these last weeks but thoroughly enjoyed this video. Especially love the first big painting you did. The colours you capture on the video in the natural landscape are an absolute feast for the eyes. The colour of the linen is a perfect frame/mount for your artwork. Thank you again Richard - can’t wait for the next. Zero centigrade here - cup of tea and a mince pie while I watch. Jill, (north) UK.

    You've done a great job in conveying the plein air experience and it is really wonderful to see your process, campsite and bushcraft. These are terrific paintings. I really love the detailed layering and tooling. Although, like you, I really like the large works, these smaller paintings can pack a lot of color, tone and detail into a small space.

    Great technique Richard and great picture! When you work wit white linen, is it necessary to cover all white parts of linen or you leave some of that parts. I saw that on this kind of linen you do not cover every part of it. May be that the solution for mi is to use some underlayer color...
    Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

    • @richardmusgrave-evans9886
      @richardmusgrave-evans9886  3 роки тому
