What an absolutely brilliant video this is. I used mine today and was a little confused. Now I've seen this I feel ready to take anything now. Thanks mate.
In most domestic circumstances it would be very difficult to separate out the live wire from the neutral wire, to do AC tests on one or the other. Do they not offer something like a breakout box into which to plug the mains plug, which separates the wires internally?
I just purchased this specific meter and your video was great to show me just how to use / what this meter is capable of. Also to confirm that I made the best choice for me. These manual units confuse me as to what settings to set to. I would like to see a video on how this meter could be used in DC, automotive like chasing ghost loads..
I think it would be safe to recommend to your DIY viewers to discharge the capacitor before probing it... You never know who is going to repeat what they see in your video...
Thanks so much, Dan for posting this. I’ve been looking for a clamp meter is always fluke or Kline would be my choice but after seeing your video and review on this, I went to your link and ordered thanks so much
Dude .. that was a GREAT review .. I purchased this yesterday n stumbled across your review today .. I noticed a few more goodies in your review I wasn't aware of .. so thanks again for the Great review Cheers ... Haha P.S. they should pay you if not direct TO YOU
I boght through Amazon, but not measuring DC current, for auto mode they measuring AC for Dc current , i returned it.Sir let me know can it measure Dc current accurately ?
Great video sir 👍👍!!! I have not had any luck finding support from Kaiweets, I purchased 2 of these kd602 clamp meters I am looking for A magnetic mount for this meter? Can you or anyone else guide me A to where I can purchase one? Thanks in advance
thank you for the informative cool video - I have been browsing AliExpress this Kaiweets seems like similar remakes of other same multimeters with different names - I guess everything comes from China via the same factory just different branding. once again many thanks for the awesome video - Ethan, Australia down under.
The in rush feature only works for AC and not DC. Question: can DC amps and milliamps be measured VIA THE CLAMP, or will the clamp only measure AC ? Thanks,
@dansproshop I see that now, thanks. At this price point not all of them are TRMS and it isn't stated anywhere that I could find on their product page. I can see why you like it so much now. I had just bought a Klein Tools CL390 before I saw your video. If I hadn't gotten it used for a great price I would be having serious buyers remorse right now as it retails for twice the price of the Kaiweets and is arguable no better. These multimeters have gotten so good.
HANMATEK Pen Type Digital Multimeter Electrical Tester with NCV,AC/DC Voltmeter Ammeter Ohmmeter . Watch a video this would be a good one to keep in truck . Of just a home tool .
Nice review, however; The meter isn't actually a genious. Auto-selection of certain functions is rather a simple and straightforward logic for the microprocessor inside the tool: If the resistance between the probes is 0 Ohms to xx Ohms (usually about 30) --> Select Continuity if the resistance between the probes is > xx Ohms --> Select Ω if the voltage between the probes is > 0 --> Select V if the clamp detects an amperage > 0 --> Select A Now I may say "How awesome is that" only if the tool can select all the other functions automatically, which is not as straightforward as A/V/Ω/Continuity
🤔 why do I want those cabs to have an attachment so they don’t have to be placed somewhere or would they just get in the way and that’s the whole purpose to be able to sit on the side? I think I’d lose him if he really working hard and fast.YES-nice stylus effect with the clamp on the side/Ha! Now you know when your really next to something hot with that temp guide Did I just watch this all the way to the end to see that it has a hot contact OK that means that Dan’s pro shop is hot on UA-cam because I don’t think I would’ve made it if it weren’t for these great videos🎉 yes, I learned something this morning. Amen. So when you turn the light on, is there then going to kill the rats inside the wall or not? Lol.
Dude this video was one of the most informative and easy to follow information vids I've seen in a long time. Thank you. It was really helpful. 💯
Glad it helped! Thank you!

@@Seabass1206 I'd hate to get a 'charged' reaction from my multimeter! Discharge first, measure safely later! 😅🔋

Thanks for the very informative video and discount code!
Thanks for the video. very informative. Is there a way to measure how much watts an appliance is pulling ??
To calculate watts you just take supply voltage multiplied by the FLA of the circuit.
Just ordered one, can't wait.
Thanks for posting.
I also liked, and subscribed.
Awesome, thank you!
What a fantastic video thank you very much for all your efforts. Also you could do radio you have a voice for radio. Sports play-by-play. :) :) :)
Thank you! I appreciate it!!
Excellent, excellent video!! What is the MAX/MIN feature? Not sure I get that one.
Thanks!
It just displays the highest and lowest readings you get during your test
@@dansproshop Thank you!!
Will it check THD from a generator?

Great video .. does this meter do dc milliamps.?
Does this meter measure DC inrush? I am new to this stuff, so bear with me if DC inrush is not commonly measured. Thanks.
I’m honestly not sure if it does. I didn’t even look for that. Great question!
One of the best tool tutorials I have seen, thank you!!
Glad it was helpful!
Is this a trms multimeter
Yes. It’s labeled on the front panel
Great video sir 👍👍!!!

Does this measure milliamps?
If you’re looking for accuracy down to that level, I don’t think this is the best option. I would go for a fluke 179 or something like that
Thank you

I think to buy this amp clamp…did you measure DC current of welding maschine ?is the current accurate enough like its said ?
Wonderful Presentation. Very Helpful.

is it US/Canada certified?
self certify
Great video👌👍. I got to get one of those.. "Chicken Stick", Good one..😅
Thanks! Check out the link. Best one you can get! amzn.to/3Ml0sqO
@@dansproshop Thanks. 👍
Will it do 220
This meter is good up to 600v
use this as a lift engineer as flutes one don't measure dc amps better then my 115 tbh
Is this better than Kaiweets Ht208d?

Will do!!
Great review. Thanks!

With that kind of price tag, and the many multi functionality in it, i am reluctant to complain. 👻
It doesn't look like it is TRMS. That is a deal breaker. I need it to be accurate at a minimum even if the AC is not a good sin wave.
It is T-RMS. It’s labeled right on the front

This may replace my Fluke as my multimeter of choice.
You will regret that . Fluke is the standard for a reason

Hey man they have been making a cordless drill bit sharpener for years. It's called a mill bastard it's been manufactured since the 1800 hundreds

If it’s not a fluke I won’t use it . Cheap meters can get you hurt .
I agree, but not every task requires a $300 meter. Fluke has its place and so does this
How can a Kaiweets meter hurt you?
