Hi Yash, honestly if you failed after doing well in your mocks there's a good chance that the pressure of the exam got to you. I'd actually suggest that you spend more time practicing mock exams this attempt and try to simulate the feeling of sitting in the exam hall(Keep a timer, do the morning session in 1 sitting and afternoon session in 1 sitting, no phone/distractions)
I recently completed by Bcom in May 23. I would say that I am above average student. Would you recommend Nov 23 for CFA Level 1? I am in a position to give about 6 hours a day of studytime everyday since I am not doing a job and the admissions to Mcom will open after 2-3 months

Honestly if the early bird registration was still open I'd say go for Feb. Now the Feb exam is a little more expensive but if you are confident and have no issues with finances I'd still say go for it

Hey Rahul, I'll be honest 6 months is more than enough to study for the CFA exam. I'd suggest that you go for the Feb exam itself because a lot of the changes in syllabus are minor.
When it comes to coaching I'd say do a little research on your own. Look up videos of the teachers on UA-cam and see if you like their style of teaching.

When I don't understand a topic very well, i look for other resources that break it up and explain the subject matter. For Level 1, try looking up videos on UA-cam (IFT, FinTree, Mark Meldrum, Kaplan).

Hey Arno, I really don't think that you should spend more than 6 months preparing for these exams. If you spread out your preparation over a longer period of time, it increases the chances that you will forget the topics that you learnt early on. Also with a really long timeline you'll definitely take the exam casually.

After engineering,you have done MBA or directly go for CFA , I'm little bit confused without mba only CFA will help me to get good package in big 4 companies, please share your view, I'm from same engineering background.
Hi Durgesh, I didn't want to do an MBA right after my engineering because I wanted to get work experience. I'd say from what I understand the CFA is a really comprehensive series of exams. MBAs on the other hand are more generalised now days especially from the big IIMs.
As far as questions practice is concerned blue boxes from cfa curriculum, chapter end questions and practice questions from candidate resources are enough ..or we should practise from other resources also..I am done with concepts but having paucity of time..Kindly suggest me from where to practise questions

I've decided to sit for the level 1 exams, would you advise I attempt it in November 2023 or February 2024? I was thinking November since there is already a lot of pre-existing materials to use as against February 2024 with the huge change in curriculum.

Hey Harshil, I don't know too much about SSEI other than the ethics crash course that I did from Sanjay Sir. On the other hand I had a great experience with FinTree. I'd suggest that you do your research and speak to people who have taken classes from SSEI, then take an informed choice.

If you're doing the exam in November you have loads of time to study. Try studying on your own at first, what's life without a little challenge!?😊 If you're finding it difficult or your pace is too slow then I'd suggest that you take some help.

Hey Samyak, To register for the CFA exam, you must have a valid international travel passport. If your passport has expired, you can use it to register but it must be updated before the exam. If you have any specific questions though write to the CFA institute so that you can get complete clarity
