You guys are awesome.. love your work. An ambulance conversion is on my bucket list. Doesn't hurt for a gurlll to dream even at 70. Would love to drive around utilizing my culinary skills to feed those in need. 🌴🌴🌴
I used Stonecoat countertop epoxy on my kitchen counters 3 years ago. I recently bought a camper and was wondering if I could do this in the bathroom, and was trying to think of a way to make it lightweight. So glad I came across this video!!
C'mon man... you're too freaking good. This is too awesome. I've followed Stone Coat forever also and love seeing someone finally use this method in 'van' build. Great work, can't wait to see what's next.
Sorry best buddy! I have been searching trough all the comments. He added a self cleaning retractable shower door. Good question! My wife commented on your 12 valve life on my tool box BTW today!
I love your build. I just bought my ambulance after watching UA-cam videos for quite awhile. My plans include a murphy bed, mini split, recirculating shower, a river table and - stone coat countertops! I thought I would be the first person to use it in a build. You beat me to it. Even my color scheme is the same as yours. My favorite color is green so I am going to work it in to my decorating scheme. I have picked up a lot from watching your channel. Electric magnets - genius. So, if I post videos of my build, just know I didn't rip you off. More like great minds think alike!
I'm wondering if I can use the appliances spray epoxy for this project? I don't need to do the marble effect, plain white will work perfect for me. Beautiful job and just what I'm needing in our RV! Amazing work.
The difference between Rustoleum Spray Epoxy and real two part epoxy like used here is substantial. Fundamentally, anything that protects the foam from abrasion and sunlight should work for a while. The foam itself is waterproof. So yes, you could probably paint it with exterior house paint too if you wanted the absolute bare essential solution. But it won't look anywhere near a nice and smooth and durable as this type of epoxy.
This is exactly what I want to do with the shower I built for my winnebago and stonecoatcountertops advised it not be used in a motorhome or rv due to concerns of flex and vibration causing delamination... have you experienced this since installation?
I really like your shower design , I was curious to why the pass thru door leading to the cab area is very short to were you'd have to bend over to walk through or crawl through ? Also were'd you get the shower pan? Thanks
If you look at the vehicle from the outside, the "box" that you stand up in is 6' tall. The cab, which is where the shower pass through door leads to is only 3- 4' tall, or like the inside of a car. You have to scrunch down like the way a paramedic would have to crouch down to get from the passenger seat to the rear standing box. The link to the shower pan is in the description or right here www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08VHX4N85/ref=as_li_qf_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=moderngreaser-20&creative=9325&linkCode=as2&creativeASIN=B08VHX4N85&linkId=9f795256e3b8b744d9e6ae553b2b5e0b
Really nice job, I'm putting a shower in my volvo semi .question will the expoxy adhere to one of the water proof foam backer boards on the market now, goboard, usg, kerdi etc?
Aside from the fantastic panels I just want to big up my man there for defending English grammar... His shirt at the start said "I couldn't care less". Aimed at the lazy English speakers that incorrectly say they could care less.
I'm sorry to drop a question so long after the fact but the felt strip around the door...does that not absorb water? Why felt and not a rubber product?
I'm confused though about the glossy. I thought the resin was Stone like? Also the one that got painted first, what kind of paint? I thought the foam would melt

Best camper truck conversion bathroom conversion EVER! As space and water efficient as it gets.
Very nice. Incredibly talented. And I love the play by play from Mr. Announcer!
Completely new spot for a shower. That is wild, well done.

Awesome job! How many ounces per sqft did you use when adhering the fiberglass mesh? How much thickener? Thank you!

At the 6:00 minute Mark you should have had them say "Me need TP for my Bungholio."
hahahah LOVE the Beavis and Butthead reference haha
I think it can be used to design ceiling?

How did you do the ceiling? What's under the wooden slats? Just ply and the light strips are glued flush against it?
What did you actually mount/secure the panels with?

can you tell what thickness need for this project?

I am going to say yes it will.
thats an educated guess. but likely it will work fine

Green I’m
What is the name of the panel you are adding epoxy resin?
XPS foam. Extruded Polystyrene. Trade names include Foamular (pink) and Styrofoam (blue) - you don't want to use the white stuff.
he should made a compromise - keep glossy finish and do not use the shower :D
Hahahhahaha great idea!! 😂😂😂
Maybe stop moving the damn camera around🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
