They’ve been trying to make AD the main guy. The problem is he doesn’t want it and he’s not showing he wants it. You do all the motivating and pushing you want but you can’t make somebody want to actually deliver on their potential. It starts and ends with AD. He should clearly be a strong MVP candidate. I get the injuries (which kind of supports my point when you look at how he stays so injured all the time) but the fact that he’s not seriously mentioned as an MVP is all on him.

They gonna talk about running the offense through a guy that has never done so in big moments even before LeBron and they need snipers this and that, but they aint even mention the leading scorer of the entire game, Lonnie Walker. That kid played his heart out but gets no recognition because hes on LeBron's team and lost. The fact of the matter is, if you can't shoot the ball, don't shoot! They've been broke the first 2 games and acknowledged they have no snipers, so put the ball in the hole and shoot middy's. You dont have to shoot threes if you lock up on defense and play an offense that makes the most sense for the team, not the league.

They clamped Dame the entire series and got stops on CJ when it mattered most. The ball did not run through AD. Rondo and Jrue controlled the offense and dictated everything. Most of AD's points came from tip ins, being a lob threat and running the floor. He just happened to average 30+ because thats when he is at his best. That's not running an offense through him. Whenever its close games the ball does not go through AD's hands, its always been like that. He is not a dominant player in the clutch, he shies away. This is nothing new especially if you watched the games. "He swept the blazers" No. jrue and rondo swept the blazers, AD was just an amazing and great help for them two. Stop

This performance from the entire Clippers team was outstanding tonight, especially from the bench. When was the last time that you did not see any player score more than 15 points and their team still won?
The Clippers look really good especially in this game where Wall and Leonard had limited minutes coming off the bench.

Lebron, AD, and Westbrook's contracts alone are 132 Million. Laker's team salary is 172 Million. In comparison, the Warriors team salary is 193 Million. Lakers could spend that 21 million to match the Warriors team salary, and still not come close to their depth.

Chuck actually nails it at the end. What they have put around AD and LeBron this year and last is completely embarrassing. The roster is assembled full of castaways from better teams and g league guys. Russell Westbrook, Pat Beverly, and Lonnie Walker are not starters on a championship caliber team. This team won’t make the playoffs if they don’t make some moves.

2 things that I keep saying:
1. The Lakers traded their future for 1 championship in 5 years. The organization, nor the fans wanted to trust the process. The moment Bron came the writing was on the wall.
2. Once they won that chip, they should've remembered what the 2011 Mavs did, and NOT repeat that. You don't win a championship then break the roster up that won it. Learn from the warriors, they're a half a billion into the luxury tax but they could possibly squeeze another ring or two out of it's OG core AND set up their young players for the future, The Lakers didn't take risks or made the wrong moves at the worst times. This is their fault.
Kenny is right… Ball has to through AD already. Bron needs to call him out ASAP

Despite the 0-3 start, this Lakers team is not as bad as people think. They have one of the best defensive ratings (103.4) in the league. The problem is they can’t make a shot from the perimeter if their lives depended on it.
At the same time, a team w/ Russell Westbrook, Lebron James & Anthony Davis should NOT be 0-3. There’s no excuses! Lebron doesn’t need to be surrounded by superstar + all-star caliber/veteran players ALL the time, he should be able to work with what he has.
The Lakers’ struggles last season were primarily due to Lebron since he constructed the roster himself (Chuck was wrong about that). Chuck is right in terms of him shouldn’t be having to carry the load, but he needs to step up as a leader and let AD know that he has to take charge/set the tone, and let Westbrook know that he can’t do things HIS way.
Lonnie Walker has put time in and stepped his game up. He was a great addition for the Lakers. He needs all of Russells minutes
You must not be familiar with Lonnie Walker. Rest assured he will follow this last game up with a dud. The only thing consistent about him is his inconsistency.

I just find it crazy that at the end of the day Vogel got scape goated for last year but Pelinka got an extension. People say "but but but he won a chip in 2020" but the same thing could be said about Vogel. GMs in this league need to start having a W-L record attached to their name the same as coaches because it's ridiculous how they can build these garbage rosters and avoid taking blame. How can a GM have Lebron James and not know you need to surround him with a least one elite shooter? They don't even have an above average spot up shooter.
