      Thank you, it's one of the down sides of creating content, having to carry all the gear but on the upside we have these great memories documented.. :o)

    Loved this! The trail stamp thing seems like a really good idea and I love how they have marked the route with ribbons.
    That side opening truck, never seen that anywhere ever! So that’s a first for me.
    Also impressed how they provide those blocks to stop vehicles rolling down the hill.
    That walk was so much more organised and civilised than anything you tackled in the UK.

      Thanks Rick.. could you imagine Tick and midgie spray on the trails up north.. it's a very different experience.. I've seen a fair few of those trucks here now, they are so cool and practical.. 😎

    The ladies appeared at the last is called haenyeo in korean. They are veteran skilled diver who submerge themselves without anykind of safety tools. Inside deep ocean they usually collect rare shell fish like abalone. Those shell fishes collected by haenyeo are sold in a splendid price too

    I did 10-1 trail back in 2019 on my first trip to Jeju and it was gorgeous…. As I didn’t have much time so I did the shortest one 😅 but it was amazing and the chance to take a boat to another island very much felt like a side quest 😂

    I was so close to visiting South Korea and Japan at one point. I'm a Motion Capture performer and in late 2015 I was in contact with Capcom about the facial likeness role of Leon for the Resident Evil 2 Remake. I failed to mention I also have a voice acting background, in the end I lost the part and I can't forgive myself for wasting such an opportunity. That would've been a real dream come true to visit South East Asia. Great video, best of luck on your travels.

    • @TheHjjin
      @TheHjjin Рік тому +4

      FYI, South East Asian countries are like Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, etc. Korea and Japan belong to East (or Northeast) Asia,
      several thousand kms away from the South East. Let's say, the distance from Seoul to Jakarta, is about the same as that between London and Tashkent, Uzbekistan, or as that of Washington, DC and Lima, Peru. Sometimes, terminology is important.

    • @Steve-Owens
      @Steve-Owens  Рік тому +2

      You are right terminology is sort of important but to win that debate, you kind of have to be a little more genuine with your argument. Picking Seoul and Jakarta (about the furthest away point) is not a great comparative. Korea is clearly not South east but it is barely 1800km away from The Phillipines or Vietnam and we have walked further in recent years. I Totally agree with you Korea is more closely East Asia, it's about as far east as you can go and is far from being in the south but it's an easy mistake to make with it's closer (than you imply) proximity to other South east Asian Countries.
      Better just to say, it's actually East Asia, not really in the South.. Just my thoughts ;o)

    • @jiminie9897
      @jiminie9897 Рік тому

      @@TheHjjinyeap. Korea is clearly East Asia. Not south east.

    There is a picturesque spot called 'Geumneung beach'(금능 해변) located in the west of the island
    I recommend visiting there if you haven't yet.

    한국은 사찰의 역사라고 생각하셔도 됩니다
    한국에서 사찰이라함은 오직 신을 위한 장소가 아니라
    백성들의 아픔과 소망을 기원하는 장소가 더 맞은 표현일겁니다
    한국에는 천년이 넘은 유명한 사찰이 많이 있고 또한 주위에는 좋은 산이나 전망이 좋은곳이 많습니다
    사찰은 한국인에게 마음의 휴식처이고 자신을 돌아보게하면서 미래의 소망을 기원하는 장소 입니다
    다음 여정은 사찰과 주위환경을 감상하시고
    어르신들이 충분히 하이킹하시면서 힘들지 않고 즐기실 사찰과 산도 많습니다
    사찰과 산을 감상하시면 한국인들의 생각을 더 잘 아실것이라 생각합니다
