EHCC Young Adult Program

Elayn Hunt Correctional Center is making a difference in the lives of the young inmates who have found their way to prison. The brand-new Young Adult Program (YAP) provides programming aimed at changing the perspective of individuals ages 18-25. Prison staff and inmate mentors work with these young adults on their psychological outlook, drug addiction, attitudes, understanding victim impact, and being a responsible parent. Hunt began YAP in June and currently has 48 individuals who are bettering themselves, so when they get out of prison they can make better choices.
