I saw her live in radio city 1993. I paid 60 bucks for tickets.I had seats that were pretty close to the stage. Miss the days when concerts were affordable.
I couldn't agree with you more! I never got the chance to see her perform live, but if I had, I'd be waiting all day if I had to just to see her and hear that voice.
I was living in Ft Myers, Fl at this time, and attended this concert. First of all, it was HOT AS HELL. Whitney always had the a/c off in venues (I saw her in concert 12 times from '86-'99) and in Miami, in July...people were PISSED. I knew what to expect, it didn't bother me. The problem was no one for the longest time said anything to the crowd. People did not know what was going on. Again, this was not my first WH concert, and truthfully over the years she was typically late starting her show more often than not (luckily I never had a show cancel on me). This was her first big tour after the movie, and I didn't care it started late, but I could understand people's frustration. The little girl, I remember, did approach the stage repeatedly. Whitney is doing a concert and her presence at the stage was VERY distracting. 5K people. Can you imagine if Whitney said yes to her how many others would have run up to the stage. You're paying to see/her perform...not get an autograph. It was very rude of the child, I'm sure the doing of her parents.
Yeah, she's said in other interviews that being under AC makes it difficult to sing as it dehydrates a singer's vocal chords. AC takes water out of the air to make it less humid so that makes sense.
If I were there to see her whitney Houston and had paid 50.00 to see her, I'd be more than happy to wait, patiently. I mean, if you're out on the night to see a concert, what's the problem. The wait would only make the anticipation greater and the concert more enjoyable. Come on Americans. We all are human beings and so was Whitney, A PHENOMINAL ONE. How blessed you were to have been able to see her!!!
Did anyone ever consider The fact that Whitney could have been experiencing a bit of post delivery syndrome? She gave a knock- out performance just the same!!!IIII Love ite
Oh I know, and if I paid $50 to see Whitney, especially during the body gard tour, I'd be as patient as I could. She was and will always be my number one itle!
ET has many full length concerts of her dating back to the beginning of her career. I hope someone gets off their ass and into the vault its her most successful and historic tour and no concert footage of her '93 dates has surfaced after 25yrs. her ppl can do much better or let us fans go I into the vault.#LongLiveTheVoice
@WH012 EXACTLY!!!!! I mean if I was there the last thing I would do is be impatient and rude.... If anytjing I would be happy to see her performance in the first place and wait as long as it would take to see the concert.
If I had the money to see Whitney Houston I will wait patiently and it was $50 to see her hell yeah hell I wait she was worth it she just had a baby and she just went out there to support her fans Whitney really love their fans The Bodyguard to a messed up her voice she tour too much and that's what really messed her voice up not the drugs
The people were being unrealistic. I mean, she just gave birth three months ago. Your body and your mind goes through changes, and they put her on a hectic schedule for the Body Guard Tour. What do they expect? She gave it her all regardless
I love Whitney, but if you're an hour late, there should have been nothing but apologies. I highly doubt if she led with that and explained the technical difficulties, there would have been that sentiment. They were on-time, you all were late. I love Whitney, but I'm big on people taking accountability for things. That's not taking accountability. Things happens, we get it, but is it the audience's fault, or your fault?

@@BEASTMRFANCLUB101 Not only was she in her prime vocally but looks too😍she looked so good after birth
I couldn't agree with you more! I never got the chance to see her perform live, but if I had, I'd be waiting all day if I had to just to see her and hear that voice.
Those stupid people, at that time, they didin't realise that The Bodyguard World Tour will be legendary.
Those 36 people asking for refunds were not real Whitney fans

What happened with the little girl? Did Whitney say anything to her?
Well said. (5 years late reply) 😆😆
You saw her in concert 12 times?! Do tell us all about it!
Yeah, she's said in other interviews that being under AC makes it difficult to sing as it dehydrates a singer's vocal chords. AC takes water out of the air to make it less humid so that makes sense.
absolutely iconic of you to have seen her that many times, let alone just one!! I was born in '98 so I never had the opportunity. lol

I always said the same thing. She started the bodyguard tour only 3 months after she gave birth. She didn't have time to get herself. smh

$50 from 1993 do not have the same value as $50 nowadays!
$50 in 1993 is equivalent in purchasing power to about $102.70 today

Larger than life
Only $50 a pop? Yeah ok. Now these types of concerts would be $1,000 per person!!!!
People are stupid and didn’t realize an ICON when they saw one!
I can see why they were angry, I would be too.
Although I love whitney :)

That's no ones fault and that's what matters, and that's not the case to be rude.
