man I wish they didn't do so much fade outs on this album. it's still AOTY for me but... feels like so many missed opportunities where they could have done a proper transition into the following tracks, or even like in this case, just let that shit drone on for a while
I think the fadeouts are always purposeful, two great examples are Vore -- where the ending has the listener slowly disappearing down the throat of gods -- and The Apparition -- which is all about how Sleep, the deity, always appears, "never real" in a dream, and then just as quickly vanishes, literally fades out; The Apparition has one verse, one chorus, an outro, then ends, like a short dream, leaving you wanting more

I agree, transitions are superior in my opinion as well but still super glad we got this wonderful album.
