I just wanted to take a moment to thank not just Tim for these incredible videos but also the community here that gives such a vibe of humility and curiosity. If you’ve watched some other coding channels you would know that what we have here is an exception. None of that nasty, hyperbolic, or hustler stuff here.
Been working on an API for months, learning c# as I go. My mind was blown on 5 of the 6 things in this video. I am both excited and overwhelmed for\by all the things I don't know. Thank you for an awesome, ill call it teaser, video!
Tim Corey is the best! Great content, great explanations without trying to be funny (something I really hate in tutorial videos). You are not only helping junior developers. I am a senior C# dev and your videos help me a lot. Tim Corey for president!
Not trying to be funny? If you can be funny and teach props to you, but to shun humour in learning sounds like a grumpy grinch thing to say. Totally disagree with you there. Agree with everything else though. Tim is the man.
I just finished the Web Api from start to finish course. It's great!!! It really puts all the puzzle pieces into place and makes sure you've got another great tool in your toolbox. All the items Tim talks about in this video and more. I really enjoyed it and planning out my next Api to build right now. This video is like a quick recap of the highlights of that course.
I like these focused 10 minute sessions. It helps me nail down one concept at a time. The longer ones are good too for bringing together various concepts.
@@IAmTimCorey I just had a job where everyone wants us to use EFCore but I want to still use DataAccess layer with them. How do I react to their preferences in this case?
Another well done training and idea. Tim...thank you so much for what you do to advance other's understanding, growth and learning experience that ultimately equates to a better quality of life. You're awesome! :)
Me too. I appreciate how it is slow and clear for those who need it, and everybody else can just speed it up. My brain is so broken now that normal speed sounds like slow motion 🤪
tim you are exceptional . learning soo much. do you by chance have an example of web api that accepts data and file attachments ? I am trying to accomplish this
The courses are for students, so they are already at discounted price. We do have occasional sales, though. Plus, the DevPass gives you access to all courses for one low monthly price.
The course has always been paid. What I said was that while I was showing you the paid course, you didn't have to buy it. You could just take the lesson list and then look those topics up on UA-cam and learn them on your own. You can use the outline to guide your free learning, or you can buy the course and get all of the contents in one place.
No. I did try that once, but while the course was a best seller and it was highly rated and promoted by Udemy, the income from the course was terrible. Definitely not enough to sustain what I am trying to do.
I’ve been building .net applications for a few years including mvc etc. I don’t recall having to use add services. What is this? Is this part of web api?
It is part of dependency injection: ua-cam.com/video/Hhpq7oYcpGE/v-deo.html It is a part of all ASP.NET Core project types, not just API. It is also something you should learn.
Hi... nice video... I have one doubt.. after hosting in iis web api getting 404 error... I have done all required softwares installation... can you share any video regarding that
*But c# and Microsoft products take up too much memory ....I am still coding enterprise frameworks, just using my 17 year old Dell computer with only 2GB ram and I manage very well.....when I have to program with C# I can only do it with an online IDEs like fiddle 😐* 😊👍
that's because they do MUCH more than a simple text editor. On a machine with 2GB of ram I would try to use something like Emacs or Neovim with a language server

I am glad my content so helpful. I won't be running for president, though. Not a role I want. I've already lost my hair.

Yep, Visual Studio 2022 Community Edition in dark mode.

I’ve got a video coming up where I build a Blazor application on a Raspberry Pi. You don’t need lots of memory to build and run C# applications.

By the way, you can build C# with VSCode, which can run in the browser or on a really slow machine (like a Raspberry Pi, not that I recommend that).
