Me Fifth Element. Supreme Being. I....protect....you.
Mmmm..... Chicken! Loved that line
Can't believe I had to scroll this far for a comment about MJ. Yeah, much preferred her nieve/vulnerable/tough character here to her one dimensional Resident Evil character.
Hell yeah
No way the Fifth Element could be considered one of the "worst" scfi films of the 90s XD
Sure, no way, it's the best (and what Valerian should have been, btw)
I can tell you why this is one of the best sci-fi movies of the 90s in two words, Ruby Rod.
It is definitely one of the best, and not just 90s.
Glad to give this the 100th thumbs up
Only someone who didn’t watch many 90s sci fi flicks would call this the worst. Lots and lots worse than this.
"Chris Tucker nailed it, but the part was clearly for Prince." Truth!
I thought the same.
I respectfully disagree. Prince's acting (I love his work) couldn't match the outrageous acting necessary for this film.
@@1baby12bear Respect your choice.
Prince would have been FANTASTIC! Luc Besson would have had pancakes. I loved Chris Tucker, but c’mon!
@@thereseroberts7786 Exactly!!!!
It is simultaneously one of the best AND the worst.
Schrodinger's Sci-Fi.
Underrated.
@Anne O'Nymous Hi. Thanks for that completely necessary explanation. In return, I can tell you what having friends is like.
@@deeyablo Why didn't you tell him?
@@disgustinglyuseless5890 Because the polite thing is to find out if the input is welcomed.
Anne O'Nymous - Nice try Anne. I will take the position that @deeyablo has NOT seen it and is therefore correct in his Metaphor.
Until he DMs me directly, he is Schrodinger’s Commentator.
"Hero's Midlife crisis" is a storytelling method they should definitely be teaching in film schools
This film and Total Recall (1990) would totally be in that course’s syllabus.
Good points

Agreed
@@DisgruntledWatcher Also Spiderman 2
@@DisgruntledWatcher Also The Lethal Weapon.
Chris Tucker really did nail it. The proof is that everyone hates the character! (I thought it was great.)
Ruby Rhod is the French Jar Jar Binks
Iconic.
Everyone except that androgynous stewardess
What? Every fifth element person i know loves ruby rhod, best character ever.
Ruby Rhod was freaking amazing. He was more Prince than Prince. And really did predict vloggers and "influencers."
BRAVO! Bravo! My compliments. Thank you for doing all the dirty work. I couldn't have done the job myself.
“A Xenomorph who went to Juilliard” baaaaaahahahaha
thanks for writing it down! I couldnt understand what he said!
You know I totally heard him say Xenomorph but I thought he said Animorph
We named our son after Bruce Willis's character in this movie.
Love Korben. ❤
Nice! But, is his middle name: Dallas; Multipass; or Meat Popsicle?
One of my sisters named her first daughter Lilou after this film ^^
@@angelebuton8373 its spelt leeloo in the film. So they only get half credit
@@davidlane678 we're French so the spelling "Leeloo" doesn't go too well for us, hence the "Lilou"
@@EdwoodCA lol
"Moltipass" cutest word ever. And this movie is a universe itself.
*mutipass
@@kratoscallofduty OP is more accurate of Leeloo's "multipass" pronunciation than your misspelling of it...
muuuuulltiiiiipaaaaassss
"Yes, she knows it's a multipass! Anyways, we're in love."
I mean who wasn't in love with Leeloo.
I never realized the mugger’s hat served a practical purpose. Thanks, HT!
Please say: Totally missed opportunity to call it the actual fifth element:
BORON
Which makes it a B movie?
@Mariel R #8 element ????????
Awesome call!!
+1 Gamers reference!
They missed thier chance for the Chris Tucker, Jeffrey Epstein tie in.
Do Avatar the last Airbender (TV show)
The movie would be way more entertaining plus it would be the only good thing to have come out of the movie.
Darth Bezos , Blueyonce and Present day police
were ON POINT !!!!
"Any body else wana negotiate ? Is my favorite movie quote ever.
The "guy in the hallway" is actually a cameo by the French actor and director Mathieu Kassovitz who won the best director at Cannes for "La Haine". Also well known for his role in Amélie Poulain.
I had never noticed that was him! 🤯🤯🤯
i love this movie and yes Cris Tucker nailed
You mean "nailed it" or just "nailed"? Bc both would be true in this case 😉
I think you mean Chris too
Supposedly, his character is based off an actual person who had a club in Dallas called the Ruby Room.
That hallway robber had me on the floor! 😅😆😂 This movie beats the hell out of most sci-fi movies...period.
GIMME THE CAAASH!
Oh man, it was such a joy to see a nod to Captain Planet. One of the best and most underrated cartoons that is more relevant today than when it was made.
"This summer..."
* confused southern hemisphere sounds *
"Alright. This Winter for the Southern Hemisphere folks!" - Honest Trailers, June 2020.
Forget "Best sci-fi movie of the 90s", it's probably one of the best sci-fi movie of all times.
Better than Star Wars
@@kaeltkottmir Yeah, Star Wars isn't all that great when you think about it
@@Ateka9 Star WArs was the first, and best for a long time, so we give it some credit, but childhood membering helps you out only so much...
Yes.
@@kaeltkottmir Star Wars is not Sci-Fi. It is about magic and knights. It is a Fantasy story. It even starts with "A long time ago".
"Darth Bezos.." Lmao
Interesting thou, how Chris Tucker‘s character is pretty much a prediction of the „I stream from everywhere I go“ guys of today.
