    I have worked with the TWT for 22 years , and built the cathodes which goes in the Electron gun for 14 years. The cathodes are impregnated with Barium & Strontium within a furnace at 1700 degrees. Then the Cathode is sputtered with Tungsten & Osmium. The cathode is brazed at 1980 degrees. The electrons are generated and omitted by the heater inside the cathode when powered . The electron beam is focused by the magnets on both sides. I worked in the UK.

    During positive half cycle when electron get accelerated, then how bunching will take place bcoz when the first electron get accelerated then it will move away from adjacent one so how bunch will form at the end. please make it clear..

    Good explanation, however, the bunching effect would be better explained using a reference electron out of the 3 electrons. Bunching is one of the most difficult concept to grasp in these tubes and oscillators.

    If a same magnetic field is applying to ever three electrons than how will one is getting accelerated and one is getting retrated

    • @tusharchaturvedi100
      @tusharchaturvedi100 4 роки тому +1

      Magnetic Field is applied across helix to narrow the beam such that electron beam travel through the centre of helix where magnetic field is maximum such that interaction between electron beam and RF siganl increases

  • @adarshsingh3606
    @adarshsingh3606 Рік тому +1

    You are not giving reason for bunching..as when accelerative force will occur..it will affect all three electrons then how the space in between them is reducing??

  • @vd7046

    I think there's a slight mistake as You mentioned that in +ve Half Cycle there will be Accelerating Force and in -ve Half Cycle there will be Resistive Force, but this point is contradicting the one you mentioned in your other video of Two Cavity Klystron Amplifier, also with the above point mentioned it is not possible for the electrons to form a bunch at the output of the slow wave structure as the gap between early and late electrons will increase more instead of decreasing. Please reply if I am right and make the pinned comment suggesting the changes as it is creating a bit of confusion.

      Helix is used to reduce the velocity of an electron so no electrons further move forward

    • @anprabh1

      this is because the RF signal gets amplified gradually along the coil. Therefore, as the amplitude increases, the distance between consecutive electrons decreases even more.

    2) in applegate diagrams seq of electron is should be early, reference, late. But you take inverse of it.
