really felt sad for Walter, like he was always this bossing around suspiciously monotone handler, but when i realized he was doing this for a righteous yet flawed cause, and for the sake of legacy and old promises, it really nailed the character development
Honestly I find the characters in this game very compelling - more so than other any Fromsoft game. Very ironic considering they tackle themes of losing humanity.
This is absolutely how writing in games should look like. Pure gameplay-driven storytelling with exceptional characters and world, without unnecessarily long cutscenes that turn the entire experience into a movie. This entire industry started to crumble with the introduction of so-called "narrative experiences". Games are supposed to be games, not interactive movies.
Walter Remembering his friend made him realize what it feels for us to try and help Ayre. Wow. It took it's time, but man the Story in this game really carried some heft in the end. Loved every second of it and can't wait to do my NG+ too see the other endings!
@@wuwei473 additional enemies. Weaker enemies just there to distract you. Problem is they have a lot of HP and die automatically after the phase transition so it's just a massive waste of ammo. And trying to kill them means the boss just shoots you in the back. Making the best way the most frustrating way dealing with the camera
I feel like every guide so far is just put on tank tracks, gatling guns and needle launchers. This isn't a criticism at all. These things just seem to be more powerful than anything else
Theyre easy to use, but their cost and no dodging makes them tank damage. I dont think you can S rank everything with this setup. Thats where the fun comes in AC lol
I can see why most people use tank with Gatlings/needle/shotguns… I played through the NG with a light weight build and when I started NG+ tried out tank builds and it’s night and day - you can take getting slapped around by bosses and you can carry the heaviest armaments that does crap ton of damage, basically very easy mode lol
It's a good system. But as mentioned, no finesse, no strategy. Double long-range shotguns, orbiter, and plasma tosser on a Light-weight RJ-Leg core. The Hit-And-Run Hornet.
I struggled with this, then tried my old meta of shotgun plus a shotgun, paired with a shotgun and (believe it or not) a shotgun and the fight was over in under a minute. And I'm not gud
I felt sad for Walter, from a slave working monotone boss to someone who cares about 621 that actually has a righteous cause to fulfill his friends promises
I think this ending was tragic but the more positive one. To Handler Walter, 621 has become more than a tool, a mercenary or a hound. 621 has become a child to him that he started to care about. When Handler Walter decides to discontinue the fight, he resists Arquebus re-education AND his own convictions of having to destroy the coral. He realizes, that his "child" has become more than a tool but a person with a free will. He finds peace in the fact that 621 has found an friend and is ready to let go and die.
he wasn't drunk with power. With what snail said before along with walters stuttering, tone and words make it clear that when they caught walter, they sent him for re-education which seems to be their way of saying brainwashing.

You know who walter really is right?
Just so you know, if people want to rewatch a boss fight, that's usually because they wanna hear the dialogue again.
"Look at you... 621... you found...a friend."
Bro grew to care about us, and in the end he could hear Ayre.

Everyone who says the story is bad are blind. It's not the level of TLOU or GoW, but it's still very touching. Can't wait for Prepare to Cry by Vaati

The music, the setting, this entire fight is something i never knew i wanted
Did this storyline on my second playthrough, and loved it so much. So fulfilling and epic. Heading to NG++ to get the special third ending now
Good luck!

There is a 3rd ending. I just beat NG+ last night. And I'm scared of what the 3rd is going to be.

he's talking about cinders and kindling the fire as if this is dark souls lol

pretty brutal because he's calling Ayre kindling to her face
Ayre as a kindling? It's all burning Melina again

I got a build that can pratically 1 shot walter.

I have a couple builds I switch between. As far as this fight goes I didn't use a tank build, but my mid weight RJ.

walter always gave off a sence of caring in very light under tones when he would talk about the missions

And i accidentally one shot him with 6 laser canons.
Compared to Ayre he really doesn't have a lot of HP. Real shame there isn't a phase 2.

He was literally brainwashed and forced to fight by arqebeus. The master was turned into a slave.
