I've noticed with a number of Asian channels where cooking appears, they have like one of those single induction burners like you get for camping and a little convection oven for baking. They use mostly small appliances for cooking especially in the case of one to two people households.

When my friends and I were little we went to a park and there was a creek at the park and we went in it. Unbeknownst to us there was a sign that said that there were leeches in the water. When we got out of the creek all of us had little black leeches latched onto our legs. Fortunately my mother managed to get them off of us pretty easily, she wiped all of us down with baby wipes and the leeches fell off.
