With Ken's intense hammond mastery and Mick's trills with awesome notes from David in this spectacular display of one of their most epically ambitious tracks
The rhythm section is awesome. It was namely Iain Clarke who drummed Heep to its success and major act and finally stardom in his one year visit to the band. And it was namely Paul Newton who brought the jazz element to music. After they left the band lost that jazzy feel forever and the overal sound became quite different with Kerslake and Thain. That of course is another story.
Russian guys commenting on early Heep is not a surprice really. Russia has produced great symphonic music and these guys have great taste in music. What a gem this performance is. Thank you!
Mitch, ken and David blow purples doors off the hinges.. the original sonic metal.. there like zeppelin purple and sabbath on steroids the true creators of musical heavy metal...
Who's Mitch? And they do not blow Purple's doors off. As players/musicians, Lord and Blackmore are better than Hensley and Box. I'm sure the latter would be first to agree as well. Vocally, Byron and Gillan are almost even but I would still give the edge to Gillan. Nevertheless I love both bands.
@@dannymartinez9371: Funnily enough, there's a bootleg of Purple at this venue in late '70. They did a 40-minute version of Wring That Neck! Mott the Hoople were also Fairfield Hall regulars in their early heavy days.

Sounds excellent! Thank you. Wish they'd kept this song up to the live lp (triple album). :)

Uriah heep di questo periodo assolutamente fantastici, con Hensley una spanna sopra tutti
СЫГРАНО ОЧЕНЬ ИНТЕЛЛЕКТУАЛЬНО !
Una de las mejores versiones.
