So true that a place becomes special not only for the delicious food but as much for the friendship one shares with an owner, chef, or even just the server. I enjoyed the food and cafe de olla at "Bazingga" with you both, that too would make a fun video someday. ¡Cuídate mucho!
Agh, the art of making authentic tacos. You made me hungry. Now I have to make me a taco. No way near those tacos. Thank you Karen. Have a great Sunday.
I've never had these type of famous tacos!! I think I remember seeing them in the north of México. My mom, aunt/uncle and all us kids once drove from Florida all the way to Guerrero, circa 1993. We came across all kinds of foods in different places, but the only thing I remember was some awesome enchiladas, oh my Dios! I could never pass on the chance to eat enchiladas, especially in "Cielito Lindo"!! I remember an hacienda-looking place to eat off the dry dusty (polvoso) road. I remember potreros full of wild cactus, which we do not have or eat down in Guerrero. Well, we do have a species of cactus, but not even the animals ate it. I remember birds made their nests on them, they had thrones and I reckon, no one mess with them. "No me pelan", (they don't peel me)--they pay me no mind), no wonder other latins don't understand us. They'd me so confused with that, they'd ask "peel what? who? why?", hahaha
I love this type of content. I fell in love with al pastor tacos when I was last in Mexico City (I actually fell in love with a lot of tacos). We have them in my city in the States but there is only one place that cooks it on a spit and has the flavor I remember.
@@mariocisneros911 We don't have a large Mexican population in my city. We have a lot of "Mexican" food spots but when you talk to the owners, they are from Central American countries.
Wow, what a great surprise to see Dave in camera! You just made me hungry, hahhhahh. I love alambre vegetariano, I am sure they probably make it there too.
We will look forward to meeting Santiago, talking with him in Spanish, and eating at this taquería -- Mr. Burro. Good food and a welcoming atmosphere: that's for us! In sixteen weeks Jorge, our Golden Retriever Buddy, and I will move to Querétaro. We will be renting a house in Zibatá. :-) :-) Saludos de Pepe desde Dallas, Texas.
I've spent about a year in Mexico and the best food in the world is the al pastor from Andy's tacos on Insurgentes in San Miguel de Allende. The tacos are great though I prefer the gringas. I haven't spent time I Queretaro but this video makes me think I need to! All that food looks so good!
I really liked your video, so glad to see a taco place to checkout. The owners seem like nice folks, and their food looks delicious! I think the content you've been providing is very interesting and makes my husband and I always look forward to your next vlog!
I just booked my trip to Mexico City and will be there two months, leave here early March and return the end of April. Taco run in Mexico City coming soon :).
I just found and subscribed to your channel. I love your content and personality. You make me miss going to Mexico even more but I hope we can get back soon.
La Karencita's channel is terrific--fun, great content, and informative ... like no other. She has a very appealing personality and she's very attractive (which is a nice bonus).
@@GorgeousGeorge97 Nope... as soon as it is a little safer to travel, when Covid cases are dropping. I can travel to Mexico now with no problem, but I have a lot of friends there and all advised me to delay my trip a little longer.
@@GorgeousGeorge97 You are one very stupid person. Two of my friends in Mexico got Covid and two people that work near me got and were out for two weeks about two months ago and are still having respiratory problems from it.
There’s a UA-camr called Pablo from Tokyo I think that show “a day in the life of a Japanese sushi chef” and stuff like that. All the remotely interesting professions. You guys could do that. This video is similar but he follows them from when they wake up etc. I think that format would be massive (Pablo gets a ton of hits) and would work really well for you guys. You wouldn’t have to leave Queretaro although CDMX might be a bit more interesting to viewers. Just an idea.
Hola! I can’t wait to eat again the foods of my childhood 🎉❤…but I know can have no flour or corn😔. If I say “no pan por favor”, will I convey no tortillas? Also where can I find ceviche? Gracias🙏
I’ve been waiting for a video like this because I go to taquerias in QRO, and I am overwhelmed. I’m still confused. What is a burro, burrito, volcán? Also, I never know what the meats are, like cecino or arrachera vs res or bistec. Thanks!!
Mm I don't have recommendations for good tacos but I do know a place where they sell good vegetarian Mexican food. It's called Alcatraz vegetariano on Avenida Universidad. The prices are very affordable and the flavour as well.
Possibly the flour tortilla, which is much more common in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California than in Mexico. I live a few miles from the Mexican border and if I eat at a Mexican restaurant in Mexico, the food will usually be served with either corn tortillas or bolillos (a type of bread). If I eat at a Mexican restaurant on the U.S. side, they will have both flour and corn tortillas. It's been about 15 years since I visited the interior of Mexico and at that time it was rare to find flour tortillas on the menu. Either way, both corn and flour tacos are delicious!
