I absolutely love these videos! I’ve adored Booker T since his Harlem Heat days and I think he’s a great in-ring talent and compelling on the mic. I don’t know much about Bautista other than his acting career as I fell out of love with wrestling around the time he was coming up.
With this feud, I don’t understand why Booker T got involved with the Bautista-Melina deal. It wasn’t any of his business. If Morrison and Melina had a relationship where what she was doing with Bautista was out of bounds, then Morrison should’ve confronted her. I don’t see where these other wrestlers are coming from. Why get involved?
Oh well. A very fun watch. I love this behind-the-scenes stuff so much.
Edit: I guess the Bautista-Melina situation wasn’t ancillary to the fight. It sounded like it contributed at first but I think these guys were going to fight regardless.

I think a fair point to your thing about Batista getting a quicker rise, backstage politics was not as rampant as it was in the 90’s

The banter between Finlay and Booker as Booker is just tossing Batista aside is priceless. Sitcom material right there.

Met booker t when I was like 7 down here in Houston. My dad was the head mover of the company that moved bookers rings around for his lil organization he got down here and after the event my dad had to go pack up the ring so I went with got to play in the ring a bit then boom booker t pops up and I was like “sup sucka!” Gave him a good laugh then him and my dad smoked a blunt together because I remember seeing my dad roll at what I thought was just a “cigar” pretty crazy to look back and realize that 🤣🤣🤣

Finlay's makes more sense. The rolling around part especially. Otherwise Booker's version seems to be that he only threw 2 punches, and that was it?

Booker T's thoroughly detailed account of the fight sounds too refined when others will struggle remembering even vital moments due to the heightened emotions involvement. But skewing facts in memoirs is not uncommon practice.
