Yes I am among the reverts and I wonder if I can pray eid by self??
Do it exactly like fajer, except that when you start the prayer you say:
7 times Allahuakbar in first rakah ( raising your hand in each one)
5 times allahuakbar, in the second rakah (rasing your hand in each one. )
time allowed 15 min after sunrise, till before duhur prayer.

I didn't know it was Haram to fast on Eid ul fitr and thank you for telling all of this will definitely help
Beast. Yes it is haram to fast on Eid day. So many people stubbornly oppose to start Ramadan at the same time as every one and stay behind one day and fast on Eid day when every one else is celebrating Eid. Which is haram. Specially Pakistanis. Most of them follow Pakistan no matter where live. I mean in western countries.
There are so many things to learn. Islam is easy to follow. We need to invest some more time on islamic studies so that if we are unknowingly following any haram things, we can amend before it's too late.

@@mohsamali907 i believe(not sure) it means you can eat in small amount just to tell yourself that you are not fasting. After eid prayer thats were you can eat. And i mean a lot if available. Hence Eid =feast.

It is haram because you do something which is against what Allah has said to us to do on that day. It is not haram when other parts of the world are still fasting and your country isn't, because it depends on the moon sighting of when Eid will be that day and obviously the timezone makes a difference too in the country you live in. Other than that may Allah bless us all and accept our Ramadan our fasting our prayers and dua and have a blessed Eid Inshallah!
