My hob gas burner knobs are hard to press. Can I use WD 40near gas

You can use it for burners that too after removing them from the gas stove and keeping the gas stove off. I wouldn't recommend for knobs because you would not be able to remove the WD-40 fully from it after cleaning. Hence, it's better to avoid near flame.
