its the perfect floor plan for me....engine sounds like it needs major work...aint ever heard a detroit 60 sound like an 8V92🤣
To many miles for me. If I were to buy this I would have the engine rebuilt during the winter.

700,000 miles on a diesel is nothing, the engine is broken in. And you can get another 500,000 out of it before a replacement or rebuild.
The old two-stroke MCIs were 30 years or 3 million miles and the DD 60 Series is the best truck engine Mercedes ever built, in my opinion. I wouldn't even flinch: just give this XLII a good service and inspection before hitting the big road.
What about tie rods, ball joints, wheel bearings, other suspension parts, etc.....
