Turned QTEs off because of the boat propeller when Kraven attacks didn't matter. I prefer QTEs when something actually happens instead of succeeding when failing, failing outright or having a fun animation like "I'm going to die" in spider-man 3

So i kinda like the ones where, for example with Harry, you get rescued from it. But if you fail a qte and the characters alone or a save wouldnt make sense it should result in failure tbh. Just my thoughts

I know not everyone’s gonna agree with this. But I wish there was a lot more consequences and the QuickTime events were a lot more strict as to give us more incentive and haste. I’m not gonna say that just because the QuickTime events are not that good, that’s going to ruin the entire game for me. I just wish they put a little bit of work into the QuickTime events.

@@expired_ramen my favorite type of QTE in a modern game would have to be Detroit Become Human. I mean a failed QTE could likely mean your character dies and the story continues without them. That's good and proper in my opinion. Less accessible though
You are missing a failure. There is a segment where you can play as Venom himself. Since you were showing just regular fails as well, I thought that would've been shown, especially he does fight Kraven.

Try the QTE fails for Spiderman 3 and Web of Shadows, those are legendary fails compared to these underwhelming ones to the point you WANT to fail lol. They shouldn't even bother making qte sequence if the failstate isn't entertaining, just let me watch cutscenes instead.
Considering how brutal some of the qte fail deaths were in the first game i think insomniac realized that this would've been comparable to a dark horror game if they really made those qte fail footages 🤣. Especially considering how dark this version was already. they even died down kravens death by not showing it completley
When QTE's in a game don't allow you to fail, then what's the point of having them? You all missed his point. You can literally put your controller down in most QTE segments in cutscenes, and there's no penalty for watching them...like a movie.
