K&L, Great to see you back on the trail. I always enjoy your videos especially the HISTORICAL CONTEXT as that is not covered by others.
I won't be able to watch all your videos in a timely manner as I will be heading off on a River to River (Illinois) hike soon. However, I will definitely watch all your videos as I hope to do the AZ Trail in 2026 (Ice Age Trail in Wisconsin in 2025). I really appreciate that you indicate your ending miles as that helps with planning (miles per day and potential campsites).
I also appreciate the trail maintenance that Kevin did (I will make a note to take my camp saw with me on the R2R). Finally, the yoga than Kevin did really helps (age 60+ here). Even if you are younger do some stretching at the start and end of the day. It does help and whatever your age will help prevent injury (at least in my opinion).

Glad to have you back. I thought maybe you would be doing the CDT but this should be a good one also. For Kevin: regarding the Cholla cactus, cholla is a Spanish word, and in Spanish, words with double L's, the double L's are pronounced like a Y. So cholla is pronounced choya, just saying in case you want to pronounce the words correctly. In Italian, it would be pronounced the way you said it, but alas the word is not Italian. 😀
As I recall, their plans are the AZT and the Camino this year, and the CDT next year.
@@MaxZomboni Yep, their son is getting married and they don't have 8-9 months to spend on the trail. Gotta be with family first!

Great to see you two again. Great job on the PCT! Quick question about PCT, I am hiking this year. When you are camping near a town and go into town to eat, did you carry your backpack with you or leave at your tentsite. Wondering how safe you felt it was to leave gear while you left a while.

Leaving your bag anywhere is very situational. There have been times we have left our gear unattended to run somewhere... but like I said, it all depends on where you are. We have heard stories of bags and gear being stolen but haven't personally witnessed anything like that.
