  • "Manava Seva is Madhava Seva. Service to mankind is service to God."
~ Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba
The Sri Sathya Sai Premaarpitham Foundation launched with its flagship Narayana Seva initiative in 2020. What originated as a humble effort to distribute home-cooked meals, has since evolved into a comprehensive undertaking. Since the last two years, dedicated volunteers from Chennai collectively operate Narayana Seva in full swing, bringing it to life in the city's heart.
Bharat’s culture of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (the world is one family) is exemplified through the Narayana Seva, inspired by the life and mission of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
The Narayana Seva is a cornerstone of the Foundation’s nutrition initiative, ‘Sri Sathya Sai Prema Dayini’. It represents a harmonious expression of compassion, encompassing every detail from sourcing fresh vegetables and groceries to meticulous cleaning, cutting, cooking, packing, and distribution-all infused with pure love. In Chennai, dedicated volunteers transcend age barriers as they fan out across the city, delivering hot and nutritious meals to the underserved. This selfless love knows no bounds, extending even to voiceless animals in select shelters through the Foundation’s ‘Maitri’ initiative.
To outsiders, these initiatives might appear as well-coordinated service efforts. However, for those actively involved, they signify much more. They transcend supporting mere sustenance; they ignite hope, spread love, and nurture a profound sense of community belonging. Each act serves as a warm reassurance to everyone involved that they are deeply cared for and cherished. More than anything, it is the urgent need of the hour - a wake up call to the citizens of our country to reach out to the underserved, and foster compassion and unity across every corner.
Narayana seva is a testament of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s boundless love for His children, and teaches one and all the importance of placing seva before the self.
We extend an invitation to all to join us as volunteers for the Sri Sathya Sai Narayana Seva programme and become stewards of compassion and service. Together, let's make a difference in the lives of those in need and spread love, healing, and hope in rural India.
