Not sure whether niantic patched it already or not as for now... But you can force your shiny ditto to become the shiny version of the pokemon it battles even if the shiny version of the pokemon it fights against still has no shiny version released. All you need to do is to swap your shiny ditto right after it transforms with other pokemon in your party and then swap back again with the transformed ditto. The transformed ditto will appear as the shiny pokemon it fights this time.
Tested this back then when Yvetal raid just recently released and still have no shiny form released, and the ditto really turned into shiny Yvetal
