New England Mosaic Society Work-Along Session: Hanging by a Thread, A Mosaic for Afghan Women

A work-along mosaic session featuring Madeleine Turgeon, one of the creators of the Hanging by a Thread Mosaic Project for the Equality of Afghan Women. Madeleine Turgeon, a visual and mosaic artist from Quebec Canada, will talk about the project, then describe the process and materials needed to create your mosaic. She will show us an example of an Afghan textile WIP and will then demo her technique using the direct method with thinset on mesh. We’ll have a short Q&A session, then you can work on your project.
