sir, in the second question doesn't the 4ohm resistor experiences the same 9V drop across as 3ohm one, so that we get -9v= 4(I+3) across the 4ohms then I=-5.25A. But, I think the way you answered it only applies in non conservative fields where KCL, KVL are not applicable. Pls correct me if i am wrong.

Yeah, Very Good point indeed. Instead of that 4 ohm, I should have just made a random network.
