This scratches the itch for having regular (albeit in great shape!) people competing alongside the pros for reference in all these intense events😂 Thanks for taking on this crazy challenge!
we shoukld just draft perople for thwe olypics like you get a letter like 3momnths before that you are selected to compede and than you have 12weeks to learn a new sport and then compete agains other randoms
As a rower, I could feel the anxiety in that pair lol. It’s stressful enough when you start in a big boat, let alone a small and unstable one! You guys honestly did really well, the coaching was phenomenal as well. Putting you in a pair and making you do race starts on your first day is hilariously cruel😂
omg i'm a rower too and FOR REAL this shit is impressive. You literally went in a 2 without a keel . Like. shit. That is like skipping all the levels and just going to the endboss on your first try and then kicking it in the face
As a rowing coach and knowing the extreme calorie and physical toll that the sport puts on you, I'd like to say that it was a bold movie to tackle that on day 1. Much respect though! Very impressive rowing for two novices, and not immediately flipping the pair was astonishing. That's a tough boat even with the most experienced of rowers
when i saw the pair i was just like ......................... how are they even sitting in it still? and then after a bit they actually were rowing i was like holy shit hahahahaha this is insane
yeah that's what i was thinking. The double 4 was so impressive, for a novice, technique wise. Makes me wonder whether they've done any breathstroke training, because that's also a momentum-thing. Novices usually take a lot longer to understand that.
This should be an olympic sport. We already have the pentathlon and decathlon, why not the panathlon, where one team has to compete in every event with the same athletes
This is so freaking cool. You guys have such endearing personalities and the fact that you're actually trying your best is so great, you're not like messing around for views. I love the authenticity of this, and it's especially cool to compare two regular blokes to Olympic level athletes. Thanks for the awesome video!
excited to watch all the events for the Sprint Canoe & Kayak😁 for the team boats, try and get with an experienced paddler who can keep the boats stable, since stability is the hardest part for new folks in the sport
I row for arizona state university and this was absolutely hilarious. putting yall in a pair/double your first time rowing is devious. I had to subscribe
The rowing made me so nostalgic, almost wanna go back to my club and row again after 10 years since I quit 😭but pretty sure I would fall out of the boat, I was always terrible hehe
i hope you guys still make some money from ad revenue -- because of your soundtrack, i don't know how much money will be left over after they take those artists' royalties out of it. my suggestion: consider using music by my band, The Jephries. we're based in Alaska and our third album comes out in 2 weeks. for a heavy vibe, try PYMITF from our second album, Holland. for a chill vibe, Riddles and Wire may suit you. or for a something about a drunk guy on a collapsing bridge, our latest single is Song for a Deadman. we're on all the services, including youtube. i also in Adelaide for a few years, if that helps your decision. if it doesn't, forget i said it :-)
I'm Out! 4:57 Wanted to find out what each event was, but not like this... The Music is both way to loud, unnecessary & extremely lumberingly bad, ouch.

I am so on board with this 10/10 that would be so fun to watch
@@m0e566 The Newbie Games
That’s what the Olympics used to be way back in the day
@@b3yourself91 What? People got assigned random sports to compete in?

I'm a coxswain and when I decided to learn to row my friend made me do race starts on my first day in a double with him
Weirdly Rowing is the only watersport that made me motion sick when I tried it. Never had motion sickness anywhere else.
too bad they didn't do the eight :(
omg i'm a rower too and FOR REAL this shit is impressive. You literally went in a 2 without a keel . Like. shit. That is like skipping all the levels and just going to the endboss on your first try and then kicking it in the face
Never been more disappointed to discover s youtube video so early on. Just want to binge watch all 140 sports at once ahhah
Second this. When is the next video coming out?
@@chrismorden204next one out now.
10 minutes in, I was thinking; they're still on rowing, I don't think they'll finish all of the 140 events in this video....

Yeah it’s really satisfying when everything clicks but it’s really difficult to get it right
when i saw the pair i was just like
......................... how are they even sitting in it still?

Genuinely impressed with your rowing! Somehow most novices immediately forget the 'don't let go of the blades if you don't want to fall in' advice
yes, and keeping your hands together is one people forget as well xD
Probably the most fun and challenging week of my life. Can’t wait to watch!!
As a rower who has raced the pair, this was honestly super impressive. You had good coaches and obviously very good core stability and reflexes.
yeah that's what i was thinking. The double 4 was so impressive, for a novice, technique wise. Makes me wonder whether they've done any breathstroke training, because that's also a momentum-thing. Novices usually take a lot longer to understand that.
Awesome! Thank you!
I am honestly impressed you stayed upright in the pair for as long as you did. I won't get near the 2-.
Same - some work-mates put me into a K1 race kayak, and that was a very swift transition to a bath...
I want to see an overhead of it, just to see how much they zigzagged
This should be an olympic sport. We already have the pentathlon and decathlon, why not the panathlon, where one team has to compete in every event with the same athletes
wait this is exactly what I’ve been hoping someone would do
Honestly as someone who rowed throughout high school and uni you two did an amazing job on your first day!

This was randomly recommended for me. Loved it! 🤣 I can't imagine how sore you felt afterwards. Can't wait for the next video!
Good luck! This sounds crazy, and but it's fun to see how "normal people" do at events theyve never tried before. They all look so easy on TV
It’s always entertaining watching novs row. Do a 2k test on the erg for a challenge video, it’s a world of pain
first day rowing and put in empachers 😭
08:26 sorry about the audio here guys - the song got the video deleted so I had to scrub out the sound
Like why?!?!? But also I will love watching every second of this madness.
looking forward to see how you guys handle the handball! :) cheers from Denmark
Handball was awesome! Keep an eye out for it on day 5 :)
Great fun to watch(especially as a rower), excited for more!
Brilliant idea for a series, looking forward to follow along
Great work lads. Lachie you’re probably better at tennis than 95% of triathletes still!
What a brilliant challenge.
Can’t wait for you to try fencing.
excited to watch all the events for the Sprint Canoe & Kayak😁 for the team boats, try and get with an experienced paddler who can keep the boats stable, since stability is the hardest part for new folks in the sport
Just discovered these blokes, grest editing and im glad i found a new aussie channel :)
looking forward to sprint kayaking after that rowing lol
If you struggled in a single skulls to stay upright a true racing sprint k1 and canoe will be impossible. I look forward to it
This is awesome, love it. Can’t wait to see the future episodes!
The music was just great in this video.
Wow! Crazy this doesn’t have more views. One of the best channels on UA-cam
Hahaha so good, spewing I couldn’t head down to Sydney for this.
Can't wait to see the skateboarding. I wonder if they'll be better at park or street
What a great idea and video! And also love❤ for bringing "Far Away" during thr rowing segment :D
Glad you liked it!!
This needs so many more view!
You guys are funny and the idea is really nice, excited for the next videos
This looked like a blast! I never realized how tiny those boats were
Love the enthusiasm. Cant wait for the rest
Really really cool series, hope to see the remaining 6 days

This is a genius idea
I am loving this new Lachy
utterly pointless and I am certain to watch it!
Love this. Especially as a rower myself that technique was spot on ;)
I absolutely love this concept. Good luck
15:22 My dumbass was like 'why is it so dark so early??' and then I remembered that Australia is in the southern hemisphere...
This is what fitness channels should be!
great music choice at 8:50 🤘🏻😍
Such a crazy challenge
Please do this again when the winter olympics come around! awesome vid
watching them row made me feel like the best rower on the planet
Now this is what UA-cam was made for
can't wait for the 10km swim
Wow what an amazing idea, great content m8
Amazing video idea

your video ideas are awesome, cant help but to click
What an epic challenge
Not too shabby with the rowing
Love the Matilda movie soundtrack
Crazy fun idea haha, love from the Netherlands
Race walking requires so much more discipline than you would think.
Cant wait for the 200 long course fly
Doing pairs on the first day rowing is impressive
I did it the first time 2/3 years in(at that time I had done all other boats)
Great idea
Race walking is indeed, crazy hard.
as a former rower they r making it seem so hard (maybe i was just good) but all u have to do is stay in time
As a rower I’m quite impressed
dude this is awesome
Banger music man!
Im really surprised you guys lasted as long as you did in the pair, needed some help to get you in even.
some bloody good entertainment
I cant believe yall committed and actually did each one fully like WALKED 20K THEN BIKED 50K FOR THIS????
I’m excited to watch my sport
No 8+? Pretty good rowing for novices. Pairs are brutal. Ive also gone in quite a bit in the single...
Back for the 8 on day 7
Awesome video
Rough to do a pair on your first day!... Did you do an 8 to complete the rowing events?
Nope we head back to row the 8 on the last day
Have fun doing a decathlon, polevault wil be interesting
Concept rowing cool 0:50
Apiring Olympic sailor here!
The pair on day 1 is so dirty 😭😭😭
Race walking is so weird :D
Epic!
What happened to the eight for rowing?
Back for that on day 7
Damn sup with El though
Legends
Was this at the University of Washington?
Lachlan did it on this one
