    In this video I install a set of Bc Racing coilovers. The install is pretty straight forward and is very similar between the 8g Galant and the 3g Eclipse.

    Fyi for people from outside north america - the international 8G Galant uses the suspension from the 7G and 2G Eclipse.
    Only the american 8G uses 3G eclipse suspension, as they are both based on a Chrysler platform. (not even one body part is interchangeable between usdm/cdn and edm/jdm Galants)

    Do you put it at even height all the way around? I have 18s on my 01 galant and the front sits a little higher than the back stock suspension

    • @RvaJay
      @RvaJay  3 роки тому +3

      You can buy jdm stuff on ebay but you have to look around. There aren’t many Galant specific parts out there. Most of the parts on this car are made for other cars like the Eclipse or Evo

    • @RvaJay

      The bushings are for a 2g eclipse. They share the same rear suspension. I purchased them from eBay

    I installed mines, they feel bumpy as heck

    • @RvaJay
      @RvaJay  3 роки тому +1

      Did you adjust the damping or pre-load? Most coilovers are going to be a little more bumpy because they are stiffer. For the price I feel these are a good compromise. Fortune autos are a couple hundred more, and offer a bit more comfort without sacrificing handling.

    • @JenGM24
      @JenGM24 3 роки тому

      @@RvaJay No type of adjustment has been done yet, might have to remove all of them and re adjust them, my knowledge on that is little lol

    • @RvaJay
      @RvaJay  3 роки тому +1

      You shouldn’t need to take them back out. Try turning the knobs on top to adjust the damping. Left to soften, right to stiffen.
