- This is an instructional video on how we tie a simplified hairwing Mar Lodge for Atlantic Salmon in eastern Canada. This pattern is fantastic for dark dull days. We typically fish this pattern sub surface on a swing or top water with a hitch on the swing.
AWESOME FLY !!!!
Thanks Sean!!!

Gidday Chris. Very nice work. Thankyou.
Hey mate, appreciate the continued support bro👊🏼
I’ve used a similar pattern but the black was chartreuse .. worked amazing on the northern peninsula of NL!
Sounds like a killa
Great looking pattern. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the comment, your welcome!!
Awesome tie Chris!!! 🤙
Thanks Robin
If you used a dyed orange Guinea fowl throat, you could call it a Mar A-Lago!
Hahahaha
Chris what kind of moose fibers did you use here? Thanks so much. I have really enjoyed your videos.
Hey Aaron. Typically i use the moose “bell” for my wings. Im not sure where this stuff was from as I purchased it. Look for the nice dark stuff.
Chris ,do your ribbing wraps stay in place on a mylar body when you fish the fly?Mine always always slips out of place no matter how tight i wrap it,started putting head cement on it haha.Nice fly man!
Its a great question Justin. I haven’t had a tonne of issues with it but yes i have had ribs slip around a bit after the fly is fished. Should just epoxy the bodies and be done ;)
