    How cautious a social media influencer needs to be these days to avoid controversy, hate and misunderstanding. As always, you have raised valid issues. You should have talked about the farm laws and agricultural subsidies as well, because they are closely related to our nutrition.
    Btw your hairstyle looks different, but I can't pinpoint how. It is a refreshing change.

    Hi Freishia,
    Did you change anything about your delivery style in this particular video?
    Or it is me who was watching your video for the first time at normal speed. 😂
    I generally watch your videos at 2x and you sound different at that speed.
    At normal speed, I could sense your expressions, facial and vocal and learnt a lot about how to communicate well.
    As far as this video goes, I believe, under the disguise of these big numbers of zomato, which only a privileged chunk of india has access to, is not the indicative of the bigger picture.
    I have not researched this, and I might be wrong. Just wanna share my opinion on the prevailing hunger. This problem is multi dimensional.
    For the household that is not able to even score a square meal for the day, what would be their daily home income. Close to none. Why is that? Primarily they couldn't get into education for some reason. Did someone in the house lost their source of income, may be. Could be other reasons as well,. The harsh truth is, how would any future generations of this family be able to do that, until and unless taken care by someone. They are needy because of no fault of theirs. They were born in a family, which was unlucky.
    The only struggle they face is food - not even education. Kayenge, tabhi to padhenge.
    Proper nutrition should be the goal first and achieving that should be a burning concern. I don't how effective are the various schemes and how much do they create impact. The majority in our country falls in that bracket. We are the privileged few. We need to standup and help the latent youth of tomorrow to part in the progress of the nation.

    A very illogical study. For 1.3 billion people, how is a thousand calls going to give a complete estimate of India.
    India is a land where you can have food filling your stomach full with 50 Rs, that is less that 1$. I am centrist, I do not support any particular party as of now, but definitely this is biased report.

    India still serves the west... The migration from villages to the cites and low living stds in slum... People go from bad to worse... Plus capitalism has given us a lot at the same time.. It takes from the poor to serve the rich... So India as a nation consumes 5% resources to the provide 25 % of the earths population... Yes, the current raj are not good enough yet... Still a lot of cultural and behavioural change is needed too...

    India definitely has a massive hunger problem and no one can deny that but we are making good progress in moving people out of poverty that is also true. And one way to see it is through India's improving GDP per capita since last 7 decades.
    Now coming to this report, if China can totally influence WHO, ease of doing business rankings, countries like Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Australia etc. then what's the big deal about influencing this report as well. Then there is also an issue of Western people looking down upon once colonial slave India. They just can't digest India is growing. The bias is naked through their media and movies. In-fact recent travel restrictions by UK for India people is one of such bias examples. Then WHO continuously delaying Covaxin approval. USA, UK, France, Germany, Australia now a days seems to be more cooperative and friendly with India at least on a government level but that is more due to counter plan for China and catering to big India's defense import industry. AUKUS group is just one example that these historically and ethnically British nations still consider themselves as sole ruler and king of the world.
    I've personally experienced this colonial mentality of western people towards Indians when I was in France. And I regularly watch RT, DWD, NYT, CNN, BBC, France24, and many more (I am sure you and many Indians must be watching these channels as well). The quality of their news coverage about India is just BS. They will mostly cherry pick what suits to show India in bad light. Sometimes they will even show fake news about India.
    Another rating which I never understood is the very low credit rating for India. It's just makes no sense.
    So to conclude, I normally don't blindly trust any these western reports. Most of the times they have some truth but with mostly influence by their colonial mindset or China's influence.

    I really like your videos but this video is very misleading, not backed by facts and poorly researched. ex.- I mean what is this "Khanan Khana Everywhere"? there are differences between being starved and being malnourished. GHI index is a peer-reviewed report and the standards that are set for the rest of the countries are same way applied to India, so this is not another global "conspiracy" against India.

    One aspect is also the micronutrients that the poorest get. There may be sufficient calorific intake but like it or not a predominantly vegetarian diet means you have to combine a lot more more sources in sufficient quantities for proteins and important micronutrients.. Perhaps it’s not being able to get access to or being buy the eight mix of foods often enough? India may also need to think of fortifying certain mass consumed foods for eg in the US milk is fortified with Vitamin D that a lot of Indians are deficient in.

    Basic reasons for drop of India's position in GHI:
    1) In year 1991,IMF forced India to reduce it's fiscal defecit. Thus, India diverted money from cultivation of food crops to cultivation of cash crops.
    2) Economic loss since 5 to 6 years.
    3) Covid-19 and it's mishandling.

    The root cause of all the problems you mentioned is Capitalism IMO.
    We need to get over our individual differences and push towards Nordic-style Social Democracy or even Democratic Socialism in the future for any of these problems to be addressed in a meaningful way.

    • @a-woke5283
      @a-woke5283 2 роки тому +3

      Nordic countries have treasure troves of oil wealth because of which social democracy can sustain. India has no automatic wealth, it needs to be generated by the people themselves and the system that supports wealth generation the most is capitalism.

    • @a-woke5283
      @a-woke5283 2 роки тому +1

      @Kaushal Batavia We can't have that. Its great to only think that taxing the rich more will solve the problem but it never works. Why would a rich person want more of his money to go away by human nature? He will always feel that people want higher taxes on him because they are jealous of his wealth (which is partly true) so the easy solution is to transfer the wealth to tax havens and other such methods. All that will do is cost the govt more money in taxes, just like it did when we had 97% taxes on the rich in the 60s or so.

    60-65% of people in India are lactase intolerant, which means that they cannot digest milk after the age of 5-6. So being the biggest producer of milk means only 35-40% of the population benifit.
    Now coming to the Indian diet.
    Our's is predominantly vegetarian, with either rice or wheat or other grains being the main course and vegetables, leafy green, pulses, fish and other meat being used as small side dishes, if at all. A balanced diet is necessary for health.
    Especially during Adolescence our diet needs empasis on calories, proteins, micro nutrients and vitamins.
    The taboo of not eating totem animals reminiscent of our tribal days further compounds to the issue.
    If you're a young parent reading this, do extensive research for the sake of your child and see to it that he grows up well nourished. Better yet set an example for them and change your own diet and lifestyle to a healthier one.
