I don't know if the producers did this to extract better performances, or it just was a practical consideration, but it just adds to the overall creepiness and uncanniness....
Thank You for uploading this.
The Greystone Park and Mansion in Los Angelos is where the mansion is. You might recognize it from the movie The Dirty Dozen as well as many others. It is now a park since bought by LA in '65. Interesting fact.
that is an interesting fact. now i will have to watch Dirty Dozen
Erik Riza
Also watch the 1991 reboot of Dark Shadows. Instead of using exterior photos of Carey Mansion in Rhode Island to augment cheap TV set backdrops, DS91 was filmed inside and around Graystone Mansion, which serves as Collinwood.
John Roberts I suspected but could not confirm. Dark Shadows revival fans can look at the interiors and exterior shirts and imagine Collinwood.
used in "The Millionaire" how also I believe..
Wow! I just Googled it. Good grief! That place is a small city!
Wow I’m impressed and the ending! Great. Thank you.
Good movie, with characters that have depth to them ... I guess the latter is why there are so many negative comments: people are used to seeing nothing but blockbusters with cardboard characters & too many special effects.
Spot on ...Gimmee the good old Hollywood days when a story taught a moral lessen
Eh? - you didn’t even look did you . You just assumed. There arnt really any ‘negative’ comments . Certainly not ‘Many’. Another noob looking for divisions that arnt there. Doom mongers they call them. That and wank stains.
I still like this movie though! It is totally different from any other movie though, with a very unusual plot, unlike anything else!
Ahhh the good ole days when everyone smoked
Remember my name and remember I said this: It is the chemicals ADDED to the tobacco, and to the paper, and to the filter, that makes cigarettes so deadly. Pipe tobacco blends are far better-tasting and less of a problem. But bear in mind that NOTHING you enjoy is good for you.
The question is, WHAT were these people smoking?
(cough)
Yikes 😳 I was 4 years old when this movie 🎥 came out 🤣🤣Where were you 🫵🏽💋
That's a huge estate! No need to go to the gym, just walk to your car and you've lost 5lbs.
So that's what it looks like behind the majestic gates of those fabulous Beverly Hills mansions...
This estate is the size of a small city!!!

The wonderful soundtrack by Richard La Salle has theme elements he reused for episodes of of the first season of "Lost in Space" and some early episodes of "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea".
LOVE Lost In Space, watched it all the time as a kid!
Oh really? I was under the impression that John Williams or Johnny Williams as he was known then was the composer of all the music for Lost in Space...
John Williams composed the bulk of music for the first season of Lost in Space and several different pieces of background music during the run of the series.
Don't think this was one of the better old sci-fi movies but thanks for posting it.
Love those new cars, anyone remember chrome LOL
I think they also made of metal. You remember metal don't you?
An enjoyable film, with some interesting ideas. A pity about the wonky close-up shots; I thought I'd had been drinking too much again!
