Not only Mumbai this types similar situations all urban areas in the india. Need extra ordinary UNOTHER NEXT giant steps towards how to rid of all infrastructure development related issues permanently solutions. All types disaster occurs during extreme weather conditions worldwide but they solve timely bases with new capabilities ,strength in structure and many cooperation between different governments agencies and private sector and need public private partnership addopt ,participation and support.

There need to be a few things that need to change. It all begins with having a proper weather forecasting service, today that is debatable. Use of analytics to asses water levels in water bodies and not releasing them like a 9 PM prime show, sequence that release would be better. A need to have a drainage system to remove or direct water, this is easier said then done.
