Word has it that frank’s still counting the number of bees to this day.
Just cut the whole tree down and put it in a bag. 😂 Nobody got time for this! 🤣🤣🤣
Even if you cut it down, the bees are gonna go into Full Berserk mode with every able bees attacking you. In other words, prepare to see, and feel, a legit massive storms of bees trying to kill you.
H.Celeste N you should really watch the Q&A video with this channel so you don’t sound like a presumptuous arse.
Never in my life would i ever thought of so many bees in 1 spot .. ty for posting .this has to be a historical event. Amazing
Wow, that is alot of Bees. I feel like there are Bees hitting my ears through my headphones, when you hear them hitting her camera. Giving me tons of chills, lol.
This has to be in the top ten for swarm size! That's a whole lotta bees. I've watched a lot of your videos and wow just wow. Bag em and tag em.
Amazing, mind-boggling, never seen anything like this. Absolutely one of the marvels of nature.
Except for the fact that killer bees are an artificial hybridization of African and European honeybees that managed to escape from the lab and into the wilds of Brazil. Dipshit scientists wanted more resilient bees that could hack it in the jungle produce more honey but it created swarms of angry lethal bees instead
This looks like a scene from one of those early 90's made for TV killer bee movies.
Not only that is it Real but also this happened during one of the most eventful years as far as weather..... w/ unprecedented number & strength of Hurricanes, the massive drought that has crippled a giant part of the Country which led to unimaginable damage & losses due to wildfires that ripped through massive parts of our Country, earthquakes and to top it off we’ve been hit by a deadly Virus 🦠 & Major loss of life and way of life, people w/o work, children w/o stable learning.....
kinda get why the bees were all swarming together!
If only humans could be more like the insects.... they have minimal infighting and often work Together for the Betterment of the Whole (society).
Didn’t mean to ramble on, forgive me, please?
This video should have a lot more views. So many people are missing out.
Death by tons of bee stings for the average person, thanks for these guys for their bravery
That's like 11 Jerry Seinfeld's worth of bees right there.
Would they be less aggressive if you smoked them out with a whole bunch of pot smoke?
Hopefully not for long. Till then just don't video record those encounters haha. Do it for science!
LOL... I can’t be around smoke... I’ve got asthma. But when I go home to MA this Spring... you can bet I’ll be getting some fun gummie bears!
I drive a semi so I can't do anything but drink. But back in the day I would have definitely done it for science.
I can’t even drink anymore & my hubby is a home brewer... but breathing is more important than a good buz ;)
There's more bee than tree....
JPTheBee man would of loved to delt with this one....wow that's amazing.
JP would never be this careless! He’d never put them in a trash bag. It’s sad !
Sister Barbie why sad ? These African bees are killing our American honey bees. I’m not mad
Smoke might be helpful. Love the bee jokes.
This is better than National Geographic. You guys deserve a Nobel Bees Prize. Awesome footage. Love your videos.
@@lindafox7822 they are like coyotes. They do nothing good for nature other than destroy.
Going back through the archives, and holy freakin' SHIT. This is incredible. Absolutely incredible. And terrifying. That's 1000 snake bites. Holy shit.
"Could that be because the earthquake?" No! They caused the earthquake when they landed all at once! :-)
@@doribellan It's not so crazy of an idea. Bees dropped dead after the Cali quake this year, and the one in Mexico saw bee swarm numbers pick up so... She could be on to something.
Horses, birds, cats and dogs all hear the quakes before they start why not bees?
Kitana Corvidae I can see why some people will try to connect things based upon them occurring in similar time, but the most likely explanation is something as an affect of the eq, like the hive being damaged from movement from the eq (whether underground or in structure), or a release of a pesticide/poison to them, that released from movement of the eq. The speculations such as magnetic or air changes are not supported.
I don't believe these are Africanized bees. With the number of bees being stepped on, or squashed in some manner or other,
Africanized bees would be all over their hoods and face area. It is a shame that they were not collected and split amongst 5 or 8 hives with caged new introduced queens in the ones without, to put them back to work pollinating.
@@mastergx1 you would be hard pressed to find non-Africanized honey bees in Arizona now days! Do a little research on Africanized bees it's a real eye opener !
I've got hives of European bees in my back yard and I will be bummed when those girls make it to Michigan!😢
You can literally feel the pure anger exuding from these killer bees 🐝!!😡😀👍
They were not as aggressive as some other jobs I’ve been on with Reed. We’ve done some jobs where they are flying so fast at us that it feels like hail!~Trez
Did anyone else start feeling bee stings from this, I at least smacked myself a few times thinking I got stung watching this. Good video, but I am struggling now lol
A moth must of landed on my tablet, when it flew I thought it came out of the screen lol..spooky...
wow think about the size of the original hive if thats half.
Exactly what I was thinking... The hive that came from.... That's a hive is like to see
Amazing!!! I'd put several hive boxes on the ground and just let them march in because your never going to get them all in plastic bags. They're on the trunk of the tree, the ground not too mention all the branches so go get some boxes and set them on the ground. I bet if you did that they'd run right into the boxes.
So many UA-cam expert comments.
I mean 20 plus years doing this? What do you know???? Smh people are nuts. Go to school for 7 years and you get to be called doctor, you do something for decades and you have UA-cam experts telling you're doing it wrong. Bass ackwards!
WOW 😮this is gigantic!
I can’t imagine how horrible it would be that these bees 🐝 would attack people and animals 😢
I am so impressed by the awesome job you do, and with the patience you show to all of the armchair bee “experts” who like to give you their advice! They have NO idea!
That is the most f---ing insane thing I have EVER SEEN! The more they removed, the more there were! Where the F do you even begin?
Would a bee vacuum be useful in this situation?
Geez, you guys have major guts. That's the worst I've ever seen. How many stings did you guys take? Usually beekeepers take a few stings. What equipment do you use to seemingly take so few stings???
Mann-Lake Bee suits & Ducttape... Trez & Frank got stung through the glove but that was about it on this job.
GodsatGaming that would require a lot of canisters to hold them. And a super long extension cord.
I'm repulsed but fascinated at the same time.
Reed is not a beekeeper & is called when no beekeeper in the area wants them. He is licenced with the state of AZ. He does his job according to regulation with the DOA of AZ & his licence. Thank you for such an interesting comment~🤗TREZ
Alright, time to go back to therapy.
I am a beekeeper in The Netherlands for over 35 years. Never seen a swarm this big....however...I think there's more then 1 queen inthere.... To my humble opinion it would have been a lot smarter and easyer working if they had brought 10 or more complete bee-houses and 'scooped' up the bees by cluster. These clusters most sertainly have held a queen each. By putting these clusters in a beehouse each, they would have had an instant new colony. When there's no queen in the cluster the bees go out the beehouse within 15 mins. anyhow to search for their queen. When there is a queen in the cluster, they simply stay. By taking each cluster away, you'll reduce the mass part by part creating new colonies and make it appear more naturally. All the bees left behind with no queen eventually break apart and devide themselves over the created new colonies. Therefor they should then have kept the 3 (or so) smallest colonies of the 10 (if using the method I just described) and place them within 5 yards maximum from the event we just seen. Within 12 hours all the bees will be in the beehouses.....then when moved at night not 1 bee kept left behind. Another tip from my side: use water in a spaybottle to keep the bees wet. Water cools them down, which reduces their activity and on a hot day that water also benefits the bees since they need water as well as people do. I hope you can benefit from this tips and keep up the good work!!!
Using smoke in this situation does not really help, just only to move them from spots you can't reach, since smoke simulates a fire which trigger them to fill their stomachs witrh honey so they get lazy and don't sting so much. In this case there's no honey to fill their stomachs with.
We should definitely give the bees the respect they deserve. Wow, that's scary...but also life-lovingly beautiful.
Lupine Dream Not Africanized, these are considered invasive and dangerous to people and animals, same as a Yellow Jacket nest
Africanized honey bees are the only one we are actively trying to exterminate because they aren’t a natural species created in a lab and escaped and they were super good at their job but they were hyper aggressive almost like yellow jackets
I am just seeing this for the first time, May 2020 and this is absolutely insane. I commend these guys, there is no way....I would be in full out panic mode and they are just laughing! I don’t have the right words to describe the size of that swarm. All I can think of is that it’s a swarm of biblical proportions. It has that “I shall smite thee” vibe, or a “Thou hast forsaken me”!!! You guys are fabulous!!!

Honey bees do swarm also jps videos show him dealing with swarms check out his videos you’ll enjoy those if you enjoyed this
Completely different type of bees man. JP would be dead without a bee suit.
Aloha , With my Emergency Honeybee calls here in Hawaii , there was one call days after leaving the hospital and I was unable to go to help the firemen and police . I spoke to the Fire chief and made sure what they had going on . It was a swarm of robbing bees so thick it closed a major highway . I suggested to the firemen to use their 'foam generator ! Since once wet ,bees can't fly , to cover the source of the swarm , a dumpster full of honeycombs at the road side . They did and in 30 minutes the problem was over . The large swarm in your video , was a good candidate for fire fighting foam !
I don’t think they were available. Bisbee fire isn’t as free as the Naco fire dept when it comes to foaming. I’ve only been on one foam job. Reed has used the FD a lot on big jobs. This was just a weird one. ~Trez
My jaw hit the floor when they started scooping handfuls of bees into the bags. When you release them, don't they just swarm somewhere else?
I just had a cheap idea. Two garbage bags. Set one inside the other about 1/3 if the way in. Duct tape the outer bag to the inner bag. 3x for secured. Take the bottom of the inner bag and remove a section of the bottom's center. Duct tape the hole around the circumference of the hole to make a funnel. More scooped bees, and it lowers their chances of escape from the bottom bag compared to the single bag shown.
Obviously there may be some offsite prep for this. Shouldn't be more than five minutes to prep 3 to 4 bags.
I can’t believe I watch this stuff I’m afraid of stinging insects.😩😩😩😩😩😩
Killer Bees + Hemp Smoke:
Hey man... stop that... I'm like livin here.
Imma sting yoooo!
I'm hungry... I'll sting yoo laterr... mmmm
I wonder how many queens were in that massive bunch ? 😳😳🤯
Probably about 12 virgin queens or more; I'm not impressed with the way they handled the bees in this video; it would have been wise to get a few hives installed under that tree and introduce queens to them;
Them bees must all feel like nuts cos the men in white suits are coming for them. lol.
I've never seen anything so interesting and so absolutely awesome in my life and I've been all over the world but I never seen anything like this of course I haven't been to Africa either now I know what bees look like in Africa and I definitely wouldn't want to encounter them I definitely have so much respect for you three you're doing an awesome job keep up the good work I definitely am going to tell all my friends about your and have everybody watching you
Actually the ordinary African bees aren't that bad. I do keep bees in South Africa
I think the mix must have developed something a lot more aggressive
Was there no other way to do this? And did you all end up getting them? And what did you all do with em when you gotum
Every bee in that tree is a tortured soul that got stung by a bee in animal crossing

I wish that I could go in a time machine and travel back to the year 1957. My destination would be Brazil. I would talk to Dr. Kerr and show him multiple killer bee videos from the present. Hopefully by showing him these videos, it would lead to him changing his mind about trying to create super bees. The reason why I’m using the term super bees is because Dr. Kerr wanted to create bees that were capable of producing a lot of honey. In return, he would make a fortune and live a life of luxury. If you think about it, what he did was kind of similar to the story of Frankenstein’s monster. His greed got the better of him. I know that he didn’t mean to release killer bees into the Brazilian jungles, but he should’ve been way more careful. His two biggest downfalls in my opinion were negligence and greed.
It's true. But I have read that Africanized bees have been found in Florida that aren't all from South America. From the genetics, it shows that African honeybees traveled to Florida, probably on a cargo ship, and mated with Florida's honeybees. Of course, some Africanized bees came in from South American cargo ships, but there's evidence that at least some populations of AHB in Florida are genetically shown to have mated with an African honeybee that directly arrived from Africa. AHBs in Florida are found mostly around port cities, so it's pretty clear they are getting there through cargo.
So my point is that Africanized bees would be here anyway, just in smaller numbers perhaps, even if that man hadn't been greedy and stupid. But I agree with you! I wish we could send a message back through time and tell him not to do it!
I think I saw the queen, next to one of those yellow bees, LOL!
Two years on and this clip is still generating a lot of buzz.
RIGHT! I’ve retired from bee shoots as of March 2019. If the laws change... I may get back in the suit... but we are still gaining subscribers so the least I can do is stay on to answer comments.~Trez

That's the Largest Swarm that I have ever Seen! 😮
It was many swarms... they flying over is too! Its was INSANE! A job I'll never forget.✌️💕🐝
Yewoowy! That's massive! There must be over a million bees in that swarm. I've never seen anything like that, and I've seen a few swarms in my lifetime. That's totally wild to see.
Here's a question for you. After a long day around all those bees, do you go home and keep hearing bee buzz? LOL
I sleep like a rock after a crazy job & this one I'll never forget. MX had just had a horrid earthquake & then this happened. There were so many SWARMS! Its was unreal.✌️💕🐝
you need an industrial super duper humongous vacuum...... I think that would have gone faster
....also tied to a few 55 gallon plastic drums
I'd be inclined to fast-build a hardware cloth cage around the whole thing until nightfall and then start shoveling them into boxes, or put queens in boxes inside the enclosure...?
If they had called a Beekeeper, which they did but none would come as Fereal swarms/hives here are deemed Africanized by state law as they attack Beekeepers bees. So Reed, who is a licenced Bee removal specialist, was called to do the job. ~Trez
Whelp, for the people trying to be brave, walking to a tree of bees without protective bee suits on. DO NOT DO THAT BECAUSE YOU WILL DIE BY THAT AMOUNT OF BEE STINGS YOU KNOW HOW MANY BEES THERE ARE IN THAT TREE RIGHT?!?! THERE'S LIKE A TRILLION BEES IN THAT TREE!
EllelsEel:
I have done exactly that with some rather large swarms of Italian bees - though tiny when compared to this massive swarm.
I have even collected and hived them without protective gear, without problems or stings.
The lack of one large cluster bothers me. It is as if there were a bunch of queenless swarms that all gathered at that one spot for some reason.
Ok, just found this video and I am amazed. What or why would they congregate all together like that with out a nest or something?
*bees covering tree* Guy: Hi Jim!
I believe a bee vacume would have been the way to go here but then again I've never seen a swarm like this in my 40 years working them.
I've seen 2 large bee migrations in my lifetime. It is amazing to see. One day you look out your door and the sky is filled with a humming sound and this huge group of bees lumbering through the air moving down the city block.
Me soon as I see swarm- Cancellation due to unavailability

Obviously I’m not any sorta expert, but would it be bad to just kill them? I don’t understand what bagging would do if I were in that situation.
Reed did not want to spray chemicals around. So he bagged them up. Most just died in the bags but yes. He had to destroy them. Some did fly away. That is nature.~Trez
So are they way less aggressive when they’ve swarmed rather than at the hive? This seems so much more docile than some of the small hives you removed.
buy a power vac take trash can connect the hose to a drilled hole blocked with screen and put another hose in another hole in can and without screen and vacume them up b4 you go to shaking the swarm and spreading them out, just a thought
Charles New . I think they know. But if they have to be called again by these people..or next door..would it be so bad for the bees-ness? 4 vacuums with soapy water would have done it, this is pure imbecilic, they are all flying around out of control when they had them all grouped! I mean, they even shake the tree! She said "oh, they'll go somewhere else" This should be a national security issue, you have to exterminate, not spread these things!
their aggression even in a swarm is something else. i shoved my face inches from a swarm in our peach tree without realizing it was there as i was hunting for peaches. the only reason i even noticed was a scout buzzed in front of my face for a moment. they were so quiet and still and calm. just one scout checking me out. no aggression. i backed off and let them be and they were gone in the hour.
how long in real time did it take to remove them all, and how did you transport them? xx
Job was done in about an hour & we just drove away with them:) Some just flew away. We’re not out to kill all the bees. We just don’t want them living in our homes etc. The swarms that survived the drive to the ranch were realeased.
+Killer Bee Guy interesting job too but as they is killer bees stronger venom and more aggression too I'm surprised people don't kill em but yehs them bees are in decline too
What do you do with the swarm? Were they Africanized bees. Couldn’t quite make out what you said about new behavior.
Some flew away. Those that Reed got into bags had to be destroyed as no Beekeeper would come to the job.~Trez
Nope. Flame throwers. Plural. 100 yard radius.
two 55 gal. drums filled with Spectra and a high pressure hose....end of story.
I feel like a buncha people would get butt hurt over that but I 100% would rather see that.....
I'm not butt hurt but I just wanted to point out a fun fact. A person that kills bees shows a strong indication of having a low IQ and/or being a large vagina. We need bees to pollinate our food. If there were no bees, there would be no people. I look forward to your moronic replies.
You may have said in the video and I missed it, but what did you all do with the bees in the bags? I saw here in the comments that they were Africanized honey bees, so I doubt you can release them and it made me wonder how you get rid of them.
"Frank, Start counting!" LOL

WOW! Super Bee-nado! Incredible work guys.
Should have had a dirt vac with soap water at the bottom. Could have sucked the whole swarm in there then took what was left out of the tree. Now ya got a bunch of bees looking for another place probably close by to roost again
Out of curiosity, if these are the dangerous variety of bees, is there a reason why insecticide isn’t used? If they are regular honey bees I can understand wanting to preserve them, but the Africanized bees I assume you would want to kill off?
How long did it take those bees to swarm on that tree? So freaking many.
Watching from the safety of my own home! This is NOT a job for me!
Couldn't you bring some bee boxes and transfer them or would it be to hard to find the queen?

Those are valuable honey bees, pollinators that we need and are useful. They shouldn’t be bagged up like trash. They should be left alone and will leave on their own. They’re just there until the scouts find a suitable hive.
J B he is going to move them to a hive that he has. He is a bee control
You realize European honeybees are a destructive invasive species in north America, right?
killer bee guy, if you reading this, you should always in every situation to find the QUEEN BEE, and put her where you want the bees to go,an all the other bees will follow her. a large heavy duty box would of helped here, if you could find queen first, she is usually under the pod of bees, this swarm seems to be several swarms moving togeather(several queens)bees usually swarm when the hive gets crowded/overgrown, I never seen this many bees in one swarm or hive, the bees here that were going toward the bag meant their queen was in the bag, they gravitate toward her, queen bee is larger than any of the other bees...find/hunt for her and you control all the other bees....she lands on the branch first, then the others pile on top forming the ball, until she gives the signal to leave then they start swarming til she is clear to fly then they all follow a bee keeper would love to have them, we had bees for many years
Had a beekeeper wanted to do that, it would have been awesome, but Reed is not a beekeeper & here in Cochise county they must be treated as Africanized & removed. ~Trez
Do these bee’s serve any useful purpose other than pollinate? If bee’s remember you better buy airline tickets to Iceland. There you’ll find birds of a feather with stories to tell as well. What’s your best guess as to population? I would take on ants (not flying though) cause they don’t walk that fast. Anyway, I would of used some chemical. How many bee’s do you think will remain? Great job, I think.
Reed tries to use as little chemicals as possible. Also this was right in the customers front yard. These bees do make honey but they have to hive to do that. No telling how many flew off but the customer no longer had a bee problem. ~Trez
I feel very itchy and uncomfortable watching this.....Very!
Something that big i think i would have suggested putting one of those cheap gazebo up and tarping it in..then you could smoke them & take them out calmer.. Think you might try that or not for you?
