I really like the Ziaire Williams pick for the grizzlies. Memphis will never be a super free agent destination, so they needed to draft for upside and they got a guy with one of the highest upsides in the draft. They're done drafting high floor guys for now, they're trying to find their next star
Houston’s and Golden states drafts seemed really good to me. Golden state should’ve probably traded those picks to stop wasting steph prime, but good picks. Houston just gonna be fun 🔥
The best part about the warriors keeping the picks is that the guys the drafted are more appealing than the number they were drafting at. Kuminga was a complete steal as he was projected to go as high as 3 to be the pf in Cleveland and fit easier than Mobley does with Allen and they got him at 7. Kuminga is only 18 and he woulda been a top 2 pick prospect next year. Moses moody is also a massive steal at 14. A team looks at those 2 assets with wiseman way more attractive in comparison to what those picks were projected to be. Warriors are MASSIVE winners
i honestly hope they keep the picks tbh, there's no player that i could see them trading for that would really be worth it the ideas of bradley beal and damien lillard would make our team a defensive liability ben simmons and draymond don't fit well together at all i think they should keep the picks
@@iamtheone2000 I think an interesting deal would be with Cleveland, getting Jarrett Allen & Collin Sexton (maybe + a pick depending on how GS values them) for Moody, Wiseman, and Kuminga. For GS it's a win now move getting proven players who are still young that can fit with their system, a good offensive threat in Sexton and an elite defensive threat in Allen. A lineup of Curry, Sexton, Klay, Draymond, and Allen could be deadly for the near future. And for Cleveland they're clearing up the Center position for Mobley and getting rid of Sexton who they've shown interest in trading away + getting back very intriguing potential players. A lineup of Garland, Moody, Okoro, Kuminga, Mobley looks very bright, or even Garland, Moody, Kuminga, Mobley, Wiseman.

Kings fan here, our roster construction isn't complete but I love the Davion pick. I expected a lot of head scratches but we might've been the worst defensive team in history last year and we took a guy who's not only going to challenge Fox and Hali to get better every day but also guard the opposing teams best player. He guards big, plays more of a combo guard than the 1, and can score in bursts. I expect him to average 30 minutes year 1 playing next to one of Fox/Hali at all times (with some 3 guard lineups) and set the tone defensively.
Westbroook avg 27 off ball on 47% next to Harden. He was great at catching the swing pass and penetrating. It’s a layup or lob to the big. Westbrook can play off ball. People often mistake non shooting guards as bad off ball players but that’s not always the case.
He was playing his best basketball with harden, not statistically but if U watched them play together he played his best basketball of his career in that short 30 game span before the league shut down. When they got back he played injured and lost their chemistry. While I still dislike this trade for the lakers I think he can start playing like that again.
You guys are my favorite podcast to listen to but I think ya should talk more baseball, ya did it in this episode and ya got some good takes and insight
Yall got one thing right no one creates shots for you at the park I love setting people up I just wish once I didn't have to do a post fade or break someone down to score
CBS's publication has reason behind it, however. Gary said on the EOCBB Pod that his opinion is always to choose the best player available, therefore the A+ grades given are for when a team chooses who he believed is that player. Immediate fit isn't as big of a concern as people hype it up to be.
Agree with the take on the Kings. They needed defense bad. Like really bad. Their defense is abysmal. But Mitchell isn't gonna cut it. He's 6.0 ft. He can't guard the wings, where they need the most help. Haliburton's frame is too small to effectively guard wings. So you now get a backup that's already 23 - backing up two better guards in the same age range. You don't waste the 9th pick on that. That's something you can adress in FA. They'd better use him in a package deal with Hield, Barnes or Bagley now.
honestly really liked the kings pick because it felt like the halliburton pick last year. if they trade buddy which they prolly will end up doing hes a great defender who can provide a punch when one of tyrese or fox takes a breather. usually the kings find a way to fuck things up but i rly like this pick mitchell seems like the kinda guy every playoff team or potential play off team would love to have on their roster. feel like this could b cool for them idk tho just a feeling
I might have missed it because I was driving, but did they even talk about the Rockets besides "Shout out to the Rockets"? I know Pierre raved about them on his UA-cam channel, but I didn't hear it on this podcast, wanted to hear what the others had to say.
Y’all are forgetting neemius for the kings he’s perfect for them can pass extremely well, is the best paint defender in the draft, and running the floor with fox is going to be amazing. But my reasoning for picking up davion is to run that 3 guard lineup. One that comes to mind is 2 years ago with my thunder when we ran cp Dennis and shai on the floor at the same time which we ran quite a bit and had Dort and tferg mixed in too. But I’m confident they can play it davion can legitimately guard up like in college there’s instances where he would be put on 6’9 guys and clamp them and the game against Oklahoma he was clamping Cade all by himself and Oklahoma was doing everything to try and switch davion off of Cade. But Reese is a good defender definitely needs to put on muscle but he played the 2 most of the time last season and even played 15% of his minutes at the 3 last season so I’m confident he can guard 1-3 well and same for fox he’s quick long arms and can stay in front of guys. But in order for this to be pulled off they’re going to need that super good help side defensive 4 and a great post defensive center(which they got in neemius) but I really wish that buddy heild trade went down so they could get that laker pick and take garuba bc he would be the perfect 4 to pair with the 3 guard lineup to be able to come over from help side and clobber some dudes But IMO it was a silly pick they should’ve traded back tbh I was hoping my thunder would do 16 and 18 to move up so we could snag bouk or moody and they could take trey Murphy and someone else but it is what it is

I just feel like some people are too worried about the warriors winning while Steph is in his prime. Like, in three years, if kuminga gets you 18 and 8, wiseman gets you 15 and 10 with 35% from 3, moody gets you 15 off the bench, and Poole is doing a lou Williams kind of thing, does it really matter if Steph isn't getting you 30 a game? Like, if the young guys are all getting you around 15-20, and they're also likely gonna get bigger and stronger, Steph and Klay won't have to carry the scoring load nearly as much. We could potentially have 5 or 6, maybe even 7 guys who average 15+ points a game. At that point, Steph doesn't need to be prime Steph. Chris Paul is far from his prime, and the suns got to the finals this year cause the young guys hit their strides. If you don't think Steph and Klay can do that, then why tf would you build your team around them? Honestly, if I were Steph, I would MUCH rather be on a team that can win even when I'm old than only have a shot this year and next, where I HAVE to be the best player. Think 2014 spurs. Kawhi wasn't an all star yet, Tim Duncan, ginobili, and parker were all past their prime, and yet they tore through the NBA and crushed the superteam heat in the finals. THAT'S the plan. Not "let's see if we can beat prime Brooklyn right now."
I don’t agree with Pierre’s logic about taking a backup with a top 10 pick. So were the warriors right taking Wiseman over Lamelo? By understanding klay had the acl and Achilles I’m taking lamelo knowing that he’ll atleast be an incredible 6th man if klay is fully healthy. Cuz if they traded for dlo with Steph and klay on the team then they can easily draft lamelo.
