I liked that shot of Alicent between Larys & Cole. I really want to know why Cole is staying true to Aemond. He did somewhat raise him & taught him how to fight. I guess he thinks Aemond can win this war. Cole seemed shaken by the dragons. Jace was the MVP of this episode. I like his & Rhaenyras relationship. A lot of chess pieces being moved around.
Dameon and the Harrenhal scenes are really frustrating for me personally, also everyone always wants Harrenhal in this series and GoT. Maybe no one usually keeps it bc of what Dameon is going through
Agree, love the acting/actor but feel dragged down by it. Some great humor but I want to fast forward.
I wonder if that one guy who claims he’s a Targaryen will become a rider and Lord Cory’s “bastard” will be a rider. I hate that word, but it was obvious that Alyn must be related somehow with how Rheayna touched his face last episode.
I liked that the Targaryens helped the Starks be able to cross the twins when Robb Stark wasn’t able to in GoT and ended up having the Red Wedding
Alyn is definitely Corelys bastard but I think he'll give him driftmark.. Bayla doesn't want it
I’m pretty sure the blacksmith is half Targaryen. He could possibly be the next dragon rider. Just a guess I haven’t read the books, but they keep showing his storyline. It must mean something and his hair is very light. I could be totally off-base but just a guess.
God I hope so. So tired of that story line.

Yup I loved the shot of Vermax watching for Jace too. Daemon tripping and the Harrenhall ghosts are getting old. Hope they move on. I’m looking forward to next week and dragon riding school. Great review thanks Steve

Some very ordinary acting in this ep.
aegon's actor really sold it. baella's convo with corlys is probably the highlight of the episode for me, right next to jace treating with the freys.

This episode was definitely too slow considering the amount of episodes left in the season:)
agreed i was getting frustrated and most of the dialogue felt like rehash to me. didn't mind until i found out that we only have 8 episodes this season.

Why can't a dragon rider have multiple dragons that he rides
There’s like a magic bond between the dragon & rider. You only get one, thems the rules. Some dragons have had multiple riders after a rider dies, their lifespans are much longer than humans. I can’t think of any time in the text when a person rides multiple different dragons in one lifetime.

On another note Bayla saying she's of fire not salt is a build up to the sea snake giving Alyn driftmark
without going into book spoilers, in the show they have established that her egg (baby targs get a dragon egg)didn't hatch and that when she tried to claim an adult dragon she almost died, which mean she was rejected as a rider
maybe i am missing something but i’m confused over why there is a question over why a non full blooded targaryen might not be able to ride a dragon. jace and luke are riders and they’re bastards of Strong
I think that’s what Jace was getting at when he pitched her the idea. She said “well it won’t work if their blood is thin and not pure” and he replied “yeah that’s what the histories that are made to make us look good say.”
For all we know maybe you don’t need Valyrian blood to ride a dragon at all, its just an idea that benefits the Targaryens to spread as it allows them to maintain a monopoly on their fantasy nukes.
The whole succession issue civil war was over whether a woman should rule not who should rule. I am certain queen is coming to terms with the issue.
I think I started to quietly boycott you since you picked Dark Matter over Interview With The Vampire. I am working on my attitude.
