Love your work Nick...for many many years it has been the soundtrack of my life, and subsequently the lives of my children. Your literature is superb, 'And the Ass saw the Angel' is brilliant. I have obtained many a copy of that book and given it to friends...they don't get my copy. Thank you sir 💜🙏

This was a most excellent interview. I'd subscribed years ago but I guess YT unsubbed me, so now I've re-subscribed.

Interesting that Nick's eyes are brown in the picture... I met him in person, his eyes are very very blue in real life 🤔

@@harryluce3737 I can. For some reason, he is considered by many to be a lyricist of a similar magnitude to Leonard Cohen and Tom Waits. No check out a few lines from Into my arms, one of his most famous songs, and tell me that's not just bad writing.
And I don't believe in the existence of angels
But looking at you I wonder if that's true
But if I did I would summon them together
And ask them to watch over you
A few obvious questions: 1. what does 'that' in the second line refer to? To the entire first line. So he tells us he doesn't then maybe he does. But at the same time, I think he means 'that' to refer to existence of angels. And then the 'But' in the third line, what's that in contrast to? It's shoddy writing, certainly not poetry on a par with Waits and Cohen.
