Just a few things! Love your channel. I van dwelled for two years and then went back into trucking. I am working on my next camper conversion for when I decide to retire. That said. The reason why your ecoflow (I have one. The 600 watt.) is pulling so much juice is because you keep taking the top off. Stir it initially. Turn on high and then when you see bubbles drop to low. You shouldn't have to cook more than two hours max. For your dishes you can cut a Viva paper towel (or the like) in half, take a gallon Ziploc bags with 1 1/2 cup distilled water, 1/2 cup vinegar and teaspoon of dish detergent. Mix that well and then add your paper towels. This is a great way to clean your dishes. You can also mix vinegar and water in a spray bottle. Happy travels and I look forward to more of your videos!!😊
Am 65 on Soc sec and have been dreaming of going on the road for many years now. My car is old ‘97 accord so first item is getting maybe a newer minivan. Love watching your videos and lives. You’re giving me the courage to travel as a single lady. I’m actually getting into the mindset that I CAN DO IT!!! Keep safe sweet one. I look forward to sharing your adventures ❤
Kkenedy you can always start off heading to Arizona to join a caravan so your not alone & have the help & support of others. Just get ahold of UA-camr Bob Wells to get all the info on that.
I saw another person who lives in their car keep a spray bottle of vinegar and water mixture to spray on their dishes after using them to clean. Cleans them and sanitizes them. Your chili looks delicious!
I'm in England and we call it a slow cooker. I have one. Had it years. Have done allsorts in it. As for puddings I've done a rice pudding in it. Love your journey. Thank you for having us along . Take care. Xx
Really enjoy your channel. Just for your own safety, other vanlifers have suggested not telling people where you are until you've left the area. Other great tips you might find helpful are on a channel called Lady Bugout (in her small red van with black ladybug dots) Stay safe, and continue the great content!
I was on a live from another youtube traveler and I mentioned your youtube name for someone needing ideas and other people had heard of you as well! Just thought you would get a kick out of that.
I love Albuquerque, NM 87107 . I love hosting folks who travel. I help women and others with being safe . Mother Bosque Garden . We support folks who need clean, safe, sane and pretty , in a good space for camping . Glad you had fun in ABQ. !
You give me hope !! I’m not living on wheels but you are great at it 👍👍 Tomorrow will be one year my husband passed away from a long illness. My very first time of living alone, all alone and a condo. We sold our home of over 20 years to move into a condo purposely because of my husband‘s condition with Louis Botti dementia he was diagnosed at 52 years old. My husband would’ve turned 60 in June but he died February 8, so tomorrow is the one year anniversary. Hardest thing I’ve ever went through in my whole life and I’ve been through an awful lot anyhow, it just occurred to me one day after he had passed that I am all alone. I’m living in my condo and I’m working, of course, but it’s so different and so strange and there’s so many things you have to think of and do and anyhow I watch many different people on UA-cam but I’ve come across you several different times and watched a lot of your videos and you really inspire me you give me hope that if you can do this as wonderfully as it looks like you do and you make it all work out I can live in my condo by myself and get through this. Anyhow, you do inspire me also, I wanted to say you have a beautiful smile and I love your laugh. Your laugh is always so special you’re just a wonderful personand you’re in my prayers for safety and good vibes sent sending your way. Keep doing what you’re doing and living your dream of your journey. Just wanted to say you’re amazing and I’m grateful to have found you much respect from Melissa Rooker.❤❤
Thank you so very much! 💖 welcome to the channel! 🤗 I am glad I can bring you hope. I’m sorry to hear of the loss of your husband. Being alone can be lonely but there is also a lot of peace available in the solitude. I’ve found in the solitude I have the chance to really explore all my feelings, and as they begin to settle, a peace arises that holds a lot of contentment and sometimes joy. My prayers are with you and I’m am grateful you have chosen to be a part of the channel community!
Sorry for your loss, it'll be two years soon since my husband passed away after a long illness. It is hard to adjust. Everyone told me not to make any big decisions for at least two years, but I'm now thinking of maybe moving to a condo - no more yard work.
@@patriciaphelps5875 yes that’s so true ! I’m so sorry about your husband! Yes it hits so hard when it is your spouse 💔💔. Life is totally different and it’s hard to adjust. My prayers for you 💔💜🙏
We have spent a lot of time in ABQ and NM in general - and one of the most beautiful places in the world is Taos. Not a place where Door Dash is likely happening, but it’s beyond words, the beauty. And the air after a rain fills with pinyon pines and rosemary. Heavenly. I highly recommend El Pinto for food in Albuquerque.
That after rain smell sounds amazing! I was in Taos but it was many years ago. It would be nice to go back sometime. I loved seeing all the earthships!
Oh my goodness!!. Definitely you are a great inspiration. I will do my travel of only four hours, pending. You are an example!!🥰🫶🏻👍🏻👍🏻. You go girl!!👍🏻👍🏻
I saw the live and that little slow cooker is too cool.🍓WOW your in NM.When you take off you go…got a good ways too. There are still a few people at Quartsite in Az you might like it there now that most of the crowd has dissipated. Lots of sweet older gals out there that live in there vans and cars too. Take care and thanks for sharing.
when I use my 2 qt cooker, I used canned chili. I put it on low and let it go for several hours while I do errands. After it starts loosening up, I then add my small cans of tomatos and chili beans. I like onions in my chili so I use onion soup mix for some onions and added flavor. Later on I might add rice to it to bulk it up. One th ing I did learn, it you have a 2 qt or a 7 qt slow cooker the cooking times are about the same. Making chicken veggie soup today. Using shredded carrot to cut down on the cooking time. But it still requires enough cooking time to soften then to my liking
You might want to get a spray bottle for vinegar and water mixture to wipe clean your dishes. Also, mashing some of the chili beans while cooking will thicken up the chili. It did look very good as is, though. Your videos are totally real. I really like that about your channel.
Rowan, that looks like an amazing video! I loved seeing your tattoo journey and all the delicious chili cooking. It's so cool that you challenged yourself with DoorDash and got a great tattoo to commemorate your success. Jeremy at the tattoo shop seems like a fantastic artist. The chili looked absolutely mouthwatering - what a tasty way to use your new crockpot! I'm impressed with your resourcefulness in powering it with your ecoflow pack and car. Great job making it all work. Your videos are always so enjoyable to watch. It's lovely to see your positive spirit and kindness shine through. Thank you for sharing another entertaining glimpse into your vanlife adventures. Wishing you all the best as you explore beautiful New Mexico. Keep up the great work! 🍓🤍
I remember always having to pre heat a crock pot for it to cook at high in 5 hours and you never lift the lid during cooking is another crock pot rule. You did the safe thing browning the meat . I love the set up you have . Your one smart cookie. Have a great day.

Hi Rowan... good to see you 😊 you look happier and happier with each video. Your power station reads in watts... i assume it does as my Bluetti reads in watts. You may need a bigger wattage solar panel in the future. I have a 600w power station and use a 120w solar panel although 200w would charge the power station quicker but hey 120w is plenty as its only to top up as I charge it driving like you do too. (Took me lots of research to learn about my power stations and wattage use). Most appliances state the wattage use in the manual or on the box. Your bracelet looks beautiful... you are so clever and talented. What a nice guy that did your tattoo too. Enjoy your chilli and see you on the next one 😊🍓

Really like your new tattoo and the crock pot. My lumpectomy is scheduled for Feb 9, so keep doing those videos, thank you for helping me get through this journey of mine. I appreciate you! Take care and be safe.
Cute crockpot, but I worry about your car battery. I had to replace mine, it was 200 bucks! Maybe buy an extra butane for your stove for stews and chili. A lot cheaper than a battery. Love your videos and your cooking! ❤
When using my small Crock-Pot to cook either or stews or chili something like that, I only use the low setting but I allow it to cook four or more hours.
I really like to watch your cooking! I do car camping on the weekends and would love to make small meals on my camp stove. I have a small crockpot I could take along with me. Are still liking the little oven?
What I do when camping is use two small spray bottles, one with water and the other with vinegar and water. I use them to wash and rinse dishes, and I wipe them out. I've also made a small box like container I can put my crock pot in so that it can cook while I am driving around doing my thing traveling so no spills. Prep it first thing in the am and by lunch when I take a break, its usually ready! Also made a mini one of those old fashioned insulated hotbox cooker containers to keep it hot longer and reduce the cooking time. A small crock can make desserts and quick breads: connamon rolls, corn pudding, banana bread, etc. I would prep them before driving as they can take some time to cook so not to drain the battery. Best of luck to you!
Hi Rowan, Love your tiny home 😊, love your energy, love your content, chili looked great!😊❤ 👍 I also love Frito’s in my chili lol Don’t know if you have ever known, but if you fill a small spray bottle with water and I little white vinegar you can clean your dishes without using all the water, vinegar is good for killing germs. Think a Hot Logic mini cooker would be easier. It warms food as you drive and can be plugged into car outletI, so your food can be heated as you DoorDash. Other van dwellers and truckers enjoy it when they are driving. Believe it would be very convenient for you. Thanks for sharing your experiences.
First thing, I really love and admire your music choices. Also love your new and first tatt. Your chili is loiking really good. I am writing this before watching the video right through. Suddenly remembered cooking chili con carne for my husband when we were first married. He was a Yorkshireman I met in Sydney, Australia. I am Australian and lived in Sydney for quite a while. Our chili was very very spicy hot and we drank a lot of water I think. Thank you for your wonderful videos. I love your genuine enthusiasm.
You can actually brown that ground beef right in your crockpot on high & then can always turn it down. When I don't feel like chopping up a bunch of stuff I cheat & use mild salsa also & small can of green chillies. Sometimes I even use a little mild giardineir too that has green olives, bell peppers, onions & celery.

That is the cutest crockpot! It will be great for those occassional changeups of your food choices 😁
Welcome to my hometown 😊
That chilly looks so delicious 😋
First thing, I really love and admire your music choices. Also love your new and first tatt. Your chili is loiking really good. I am writing this before watching the video right through. Suddenly remembered cooking chili con carne for my husband when we were first married. He was a Yorkshireman I met in Sydney, Australia. I am Australian and lived in Sydney for quite a while. Our chili was very very spicy hot and we drank a lot of water I think.
Thank you for your wonderful videos. I love your genuine enthusiasm.
Thank you! 😊
The streets look dead . No people walking around
Love your video very much ,because you're a genuine beautiful lady ,take care, God bless ❤❤🙋
Thank you! 🙏 blessings to you as well.
Beautiful scenery!!!
Rowan pick up some of the crockpot liners. Would work great for you car living. I love them.
Thanks!
Thank you so much! 🙏
