I found smoke bomb quite useful as a support. Doesn't slow them right away (because lag) but it does become a slight slow.
Plus I think it makes them not dodge mines.
Bullets are amazing once you get them.

August 2021 edit: I want to apologize for the ads on my video. I wanted to keep my videos ad-free because I consider UA-cam to be a very ad-toxic environment, but it seems Google updated their policy to monetize all contents they host "to cover their running fees" aka rip off people to get more ad revenue for themselves as if they're not the ones offering the service "for free. So to keep it clear, I'm not getting any money from the ads and they are not my wish.

Hey, would you rather use mines, bullets and bait shot at end game or bombs, bullets and bait shot?

Sorry for the response delay, at end game, all you really need is bullet and bait shot, so wether you use mines (greater damage on one target) or bomb (greater damage when a few ships are in range of the AoE) is really up to your preference. At the time I made the video, I was using mines, but now I use bombs.

Been checking regularly, but haven't received a notification for your comment, so sorry for my response delay. If you are still experiencing the same problem, would you care to explain in more details? Is it because you cannot see where the cannonballs land and/or their trajectory?

@@Southern_Pixel I believe practice will fix your problem. Try to adjust your aim by shooting free shots, once you find the right cannon angle to hit the ship you are trying to shoot, all you have to do is to follow the ship you are aiming at with your cannon and you will hit every shot. Then with habit, you will need less adjustment to find the right shooting angle.
Moreover, you can consider the fact that the cannon is centered on your screen. You cannot use its center point because the cannonball curves down, but you can align the center lign (delimiting right from left) with the bow (front) of the ship you are trying to shoot and then you only have to adjust your cannon up and down. It is also a very valid possibility for you to use tape or something of the sort to mark your center line. It is common practice for snipers in FPS to mark the center of their screen in such a way when learning. Just be careful not to damage it in any way.
As far as mouse sensitivity goes, I would recommand 1000 dpi or lower. The lower you go, the longer it takes to adjust to it, but the more precise you can be. I believe mine to be 600 or 800, I usually make adjustments by increments of 200.
I hope these tips will help you. Feel free to keep me updated on your progress in the days/weeks to come 🙂. In the mean time, I wish you good luck pirate!
