      Thanks for mentioning. It's like coming home to the workshop, being compelled to unplug from the tube like that.

    Unfortunately, most people don't understand that if the Tesla coil is giving off sparks, you are running it backwards.
    BTW, the Wardenclyffe tower didn't burn down. NT couldn't get his loan extended, from JP Morgan, to finish the project. Additionally, supplying the public with nearly no cost electricity was a non-profitable business case for JP Morgan to finance.

    Using a much more suitable transitor or mosfet that are heatsinked in this circuit along with some protection diodes and about 4-8X the number of turns along with a low esr capacitor on the input allows the use of much higher input voltage which allows the lighting of FL tubes from several feet or more along with a continuous corona discharge.

    Radio transmission is basically wireless power transmission. The closer to the transmitter the more power can be received.
    Take a look at Don L Smith's research.
    I'm charging the battery out of a disposable vape using a loop antenna crystal radio tuned to radio five live or talk sport and running two white LEDs as a night light. I'm about 4 miles away from the nearest transmitter.

    Looks like you missed one of the most important patents that were part of the communications system. The coil for electromagnets patent. The exiter is nothing if it doesn't adjust to the coils resonant frequency. He avoided the discharges all the builders go for, his intent was to build up the power and make it resonate to have 'spooky action at a distance' as explained by Maxwell. The discharges destroy the insulation and discharge the coil, which was not only contrary to what he attempted to achieve and quite expensive considering the scales of power levels he was working with. It was also something he did to impress investors and the easily impressed... a show of power with no aim, if you will.

    Great presentation. No sparks, though:(
    Use a MOSFET with a heat sink, and wind .2 or .3mm wire.
    .6 mm wire is for big Tesla coils.
    Place an electrolytic capacitor across the input voltage.
    Use a potentiometer instead of a resistor.
    This will provide some sparks.

    I wonder if the slayer circuit, could be made light enough to power a lifter? It could be the first Lifter device capable of self sustained flight. A challenge since they can only provide a few grams of lifting power.

    • @hanelyp1
      @hanelyp1 8 місяців тому

      One issue is lifters usually run on DC, while a Tesla coil outputs high frequency AC.

    The closeness necessary for it to light makes it impractical to use with most lighting scenarios. However, it would be both practical and safer for high voltage battery charging as it would eliminate the need to connect two metal contacts together when plugging the device in for charging.
    The modern way of using a flat coil for wireless charging is perhaps bit more practical.

    You can add graphene sheets graphite sheets into the electrical going to a capacitor dump if you had the sheets you can put them in a radio configuration like spokes in a wheel and just keep adding them and keep harvesting the energy off of it you can do this with pancake calls too there's a guy called the old scientist he did this with a bipolar Tesla coil that he built and extracted 10 times the energy versus the input so just buy straight line thinking your Slayer Tesla Might get 5 times he use pancake coils. You're using so low of energy Best buy knowing the capacitors volume that you're using and the voltage that you're collecting at the dump point you can calculate energy output pretty easy you already know energy input

    Is the diode reverse-biased to keep the transistor on? When the coil secondary coil mag field collapses it then forward biases the diode at the base, thus turning off the forward bias to the transistor?

    On the KTLA morning news in the late 1990s has a science teacher bring a tesla coil . Mark Kriski the weatherman was standing on insulation drawing arcs to various body parts. Then he said will it arc to my watch. Oh it did then he looked at his watch in horror. Held it to his ear. Yes he had burned out his watch. .

    Slayer exciter is not Tesla coil. The real Hairpin circuit separates the load from the source, it also needs to be tuned. So it doesn't burn, it is adapting to the natural frequency of the load. Slayer exciter will cause damage in the nerves, Tesla coil doesn't. Beware of this with high current!

    Why does the secondary winding have to be a single layer?

    • @hanelyp1
      @hanelyp1 8 місяців тому +1

      The secondary has voltage along the length, each turn adding a little voltage. Multiple layers puts turns with voltage between them closer, more likely to arc.

    The only problem with "all" EM systems is the risk of cancer.
    I can not say just how great this risk is, but it is, as a matter of fact, proven to exist, at various levels of AC voltage, and is particularly demonstrable near national high tension lines, here in the USA.
    Therefore, it is questionable as to just how safe Tesla's free energy system would have been.
    Admittedly, I have full confidence that his design would, did, and still does work, only that it is potentially quite dangerous because of the effects of high energy EM radiation being emitted from the system.

    So much wrong with this video.... Tesla died in the New Yorker hotel, never tried to marry a pigeon, Westinghouse didn't finance Wardenclyffe, the Wardenclyffe tower did not burn down, it was dynamited in 1917, not 1906. Tesla was not inspired by Hertz (at all), Tesla was working with radio waves long before Hertz.... etc. Then what is said about a SEC is also rather dubious. A SEC does not have a feed-back coil, bus uses the base of the secondary instead. The kit shown is not a SEC.... :( disappointing....

      I share your disappointement about some information given in this video.
      Tesla refused to consider as "hertzian waves" the phenomena behind his attempts to transmit wireless energy...
      ... unfortunately without a full experimental evidence of his assumpions... at least at planetary scale.😉

    You should research Tesla's history more carefully. He wasn't what any reasonable person would categorize as a humanitarian. In fact, he was an unabashed eugenicist who believe in the forced sterilization of those considered physically and intellectually "unfit." There are a few quotes where he expressed racist beliefs towards other racial and ethnic groups. Clearly, he may have been a great scientist, but he wasn't a person who cared for all of humanity.

      Where can I find information you have stated. Nicola Tesla had friends from various cultures, not just European ....he had great respect for Buddhist Tebetian monk who helped him on how to memorise.....he had great friendship with Indian Guru and even used word "Prana" in his vocabulary, also had a great understanding of Pyramids and was absolutely fascinated ..... I think Nikola Tesla had a lot of love and respect for different cultures and races...🙏
