Pump Organ Restoration | Harmonium

We don't get to see too many pump organs in the shop, but this one was just too amazing not to show you! This is a Debain Harmonium, made somewhere in the late 1800's. While pump organs and instruments very similar to this harmonium were already being used in large churches, Alexandre Debain was able to make his harmonium much smaller so they could be used by smaller groups and even in homes.
While the cabinet for this harmonium was pretty good shape, the real work was on the inside. The pump organ itself needed to be rebuilt. Luckily our technician still works on pump organs and knew exactly what needed to be done! The bellows, the fittings, everything was rebuilt and worked on and this beauty now sounds just as amazing as it looks!
