I don't think so, they(custom peple) even won't know if you already had the drone when you traveled from India to Dubai(or any other country) so if you are brining like your pre owned item they shouldn't trouble you.😊
No. They know it very well it's just if the drone weight is small in size that don't bother bcoz it is under a toy category. If it's a big drone like mavic or mavic pro then you might be questioned

No ! Should be in check in luggage
Yes hand luggage possible just remove the drone battery, I have done it thrice no problem

If i buy dji air 3 micro category drone for my personal use from abroad. Should i need drone operator license to fly for even my own use or no?
Can you take this to Dubai and fly it? I visited dubai last year and read that you can't bring drones in and never brought it with me.
I thought Dubai is cheaper for drones but I am very much surprised that you paid 86k. I bought Dji Mini 4 pro drone from Indonesia for 81k including 128 gb sd card along with card reader. I got the VAT refund of 8k at airport so the final price I paid for Dji Mini 4 pro along with fly more kit was just ₹73,000/-.

@@The_drone_therapy Absolutely no I didn't faced any issue while transporting my drone from Bali to Mumbai. Only thing is while collecting your boarding pass if the attendant who is issuing your boarding pass asks you whether you are carrying drone or did you brought any kind of equipment from Indonesia just nod your head for "NO". Sometimes the airlines stamps a code on your boarding pass if you carrying drone or it's equipment. It differs from Airline to Airline. One more thing just get rid of the box, if you carry you might be questioned by customs.

It’s good to stick the UIN on the drone. Anyways it’s not mandatory to stick the UIN.

I bought it from Thailand for 86k from DJI store. The only thing that i am bit disappointed is they did not had a VAT refund.And I successfully brought that in India yayyy. I will tell you how can you bring too through videos

IMPORTANT
As per Indian custom law Feb 22, Drone comes under prohibited category, no one can import any size drone to India.
Custom will not charge custom duty, they will take away your drone.
I have my personal drone in canada that is mini 3 249g. Can i take it with me. I am Indian and citizen of India, so i may be cannot considered as tourist or visitor in India. Can i bought that drone with me? But i havenot registered it means i dont have any kind of drone license in India or Canada.

Yes I agree with you, its on risk, AS I followed @nomadicindian Dipanshu Sangwan, the travel vlogger, His drone was seized by the customs when he was coming back from outside, even though he had bought it in India.. Later he went through some process to get it back, (basically giving extra money ). So it's a risky thing.. I even wanted to do it but can't risk 70 -80 K and with mental unrest :D that they will catch.... Mental Peace is more valuable to me LOL !

Means we passed Canada border, there they always scan everything, then we went to America and checked in our bags then we have received it in India but no one stopped us. Now we have taken it with us in Canada again but no one stopped us and questioned us about this.
Thank you for sharing but did you disclose it in India and I think US Canada has some fine rules under 250 grams, whereas here we all are in confusion, I can't find a govt website that clearly says that we are allowed to, where as normal search shows that importing drones are prohibited. 400 ft vertical 120mts hight maximum legally allowed in india. Because in some circumstances aircraft or helicopter can fly these level. Thats why specifically said once you registerd you are not allowed to fly more than 120mts hight.

I bought a dji mini 4 pro in usa coming to india in 5 days. The drone is a catgorised as a nano drone if used with normal battery it is 249 grams but the battery i have is the extended plus battery 45 mints which bump the weight to 305 grams at take off instead of using the regular ones. I am scared to bring it thinking they will confiscate it in customs because its heavier i heard if i put drone in chekin baggage with batteries removed and put in hand carry with remote in carryon i wont have issue . Is this correct ?. Also since this is 305 grams with the extended battery would i have to get the the remote pilot license or is it not applicable because yhe drone itself is categorised as a nano drone. Please help . I am really confused all websites online are not providing coear information . I am really frustrated dont want to lose my drone at airport and also not be able to fly in india after all these hassle. Please give your opinion and any links that help

@@vishnukishor8181 no i did not take it since the rules says i cannot fly more than 15 m which is 50 ft so basically is useless. So i just left it there . Also did not want to be involved with the headache at customs
@@martinjohn8370customs are real pain. I want to buy and bring mini 4 pro. Some are regularly taking in and out of country. I don't know how? Might be take midnight flight which lands at 1 am or something
@@roninr8199if you are okay with flying only upto 15 m just follow the things mentioned in videos like batterys seperate and propeler removed remote separately etc just watch those videos amd follow hopefully you can bring it . But the flight height restriction will be there . If you only want to fly upto 15 m then bring it
@@martinjohn8370 with mini 4 pro no restritiction. Can fly max 500m. There are videos on that. Only worried about drone getting seized. Looks like it depends on mood of customs. Many are bringing and some are also claiming to be caught. Worst part is we can easily buy drones in India if government was so concerned then first ctch them
